Blind Eyes

Greetings in Christ!
I hope you are all doing well, seeking after the Lord!

I have a sobering story to tell about that picture.  Normally something like this would make me smile (and I do now) but it hit me pretty serious at the time. 
A few days before this happened, I was in a store and found a package of laundry detergent sheets lying on the shelf. (I actually did a post on similar ones HERE a while ago.)  Anyway, I tried them and liked them a lot so I thought I'd stock up on a few more if I found them because they are a fraction of the price of the other kind. We traveled down the road and in another town I stopped in the same kind of store and went to the detergent area and began looking.  There were some products hanging in my way so I moved them and looked behind them, looking into the back of the shelf and when I didn't find what I was looking for, I walked away.  Before I left the store I thought I'd go back one more time and see if I overlooked them...

They were hanging right before my eyes the whole time and I didn't see them.
​(I even moved them out of my way to look behind them.)

Like I said, it was pretty sobering to think that you can be looking for something that's right in front of you, even touch it, and not see it.
That's how easy we all can be blinded in various ways. 

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

It makes me think of churchianity people, claiming to believe and follow Christ, even carrying Bibles, but their eyes (and hearts) are blind because they love this world, the offerings of it and the satanic man made religious system. 

2 Corinthians 13:5 
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

1 Thessalonians 5:21 
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

1 John 2:16 
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Women of God also may be blind in the flesh at times and if we're not careful, spiritually as well, but the Lord is faithful to allow us to walk in all truth through the power of the Holy Spirit. 

John 16:13 
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

I thought I'd share some scriptures of eyes being opened...

Psalm 146:8 
The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous:

Isaiah 29:18 
And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

Isaiah 42:7 
To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

He is faithful to help us in all ways.  

Matthew 7:7-8 
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Stand on guard, always watching and being ready. 

1 Peter 5:8 
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Sometimes a saint of God feels like that little flower planted in the midst of a big concrete world, run by Satan, but our Father is over and above all!

I hope all sisters around the world blossom, in the faith, like that rose and even more. 

We're in the big city that we plan to be in for the weekend for a couple preaches but let's see what happens:-)  I hope your days are going along well in the Lord and you're rejoicing in all He's done.
