Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Who doesn't love and take comfort and encouragement from the Psalms?! You'd have to be a child of the devil to not; I hope that's not you, examine yourself to the biblical gospel HERE. That picture is a good representation of a godly woman behind bars...which has been and is and will be coming even more for those who are serving the Lord in all the ways they can. The flower is doing what it was created to do (showing the glory of the Creator :-) no matter what the environment...let us do the same! Brother Tupos and I just read this... Acts 8:3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. As the days get darker, we see the Bible come to life and saints walk in the footsteps of those before us, pressing on toward what lies ahead.... Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; I love that...God cannot lie. Man can lie but God cannot and we can rest in all that! He's watching everything. I've always taken comfort in that because no matter what happens, He knows, sees and cares and His will be done. I'm good with whatever comes in our lives because it's all done for Him. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. This becomes more clear the more we walk in this faith life for the Lord.... 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: We saw that up front this past Sunday during our unlawful arrest and I wanted to share something with you.... The church we stood outside, preaching the gospel good news was called 'Glad Tidings'. We just found out the name of the officer that wrongfully arrested us is 'Wolfe'. Wolves hate the good news / truth. Anyway....I wanted to share with you about Psalms in the night which will encourage you:-) I often have troubles sleeping at night for various reasons (maybe some of you can relate) and I mentioned to brother Tupos that I'm in a strange state of physical pain and confusion in my mind with a hard time focusing with onslaughts of many different things going through my head. I praise the Lord, think about scriptures but it's like a battle between the enemy and the Spirit so brother Tupos had a wonderful idea which I call Psalms in the night. He said to download some Psalms that I read on the Psalms page HERE and then listen to them in the night. (Better than trying to look at a bright screen while reading them.) I picked Psalm 119 and last night when I woke up again in that awful state, I was blessed to listen to it and have peace, comfort, rejoicing and praise for the Lord. (I had it soft and pressed right to my ear with the blankets over it so it didn't wake brother Tupos, who wouldn't care anyway:-) Maybe that's something that might help some of you out there:-) I'll share, for your edification, a few of the verses that stood out to me in the night as I smiled and listened to His precious word. (I love it all but share a few here that stood out:-) Psalm 119.... 2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. 19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me. 23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes. 30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me. 46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. 51 The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law. 55 I have remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and have kept thy law. 57 Thou art my portion, O Lord : I have said that I would keep thy words. 62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments. 69 The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart. 71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. 76 Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant. 78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts. 81 My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word. 86 All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me. 89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. 101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. 110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts. 129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. 137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments. 142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. 174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord ; and thy law is my delight. I'm so thankful to have His word, His precious truth and the power of the Holy Spirit to help me walk in all His ways, being as blameless as I can, as a godly woman out here in the world preaching Christ crucified. Psalm 145:18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. Hold fast to the Lord and His ways, He's our only hope and remember....the battle has already been won, we just have to do our part.
