Encouragement for Today (11/13/24)

2 Timothy 4:14-18 
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Greetings to those who are godly women following after the Lord.
I pray you are doing well and seeking truth and keeping yourselves unspotted from the world.  I was reading that passage in 2 Timothy this morning and wanted to share it with you as encouragement that although true saints are the minority in the world...we have the Lord.  The more saints walk this narrow path, the more we will be more like Paul, being withstood, because of the word of God.  

Matthew 10:24-26 
The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

I'm okay with that because there's nothing new under the sun and Christ proved it first and we're just following after, not being greater than our Master. ​

3 John 1:4 
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Do a word search on truth (and many other words:) and be edified.  

Romans 14:19 
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

We had travel today so we stopped in the marketplace early this morning to do a few things online, then head down the gospel road.  I was looking out the window as I typed this and share this pretty rose bush.

In a dark and lost world, we still see God's creation, His order, His power, His glory all over in between it all. We saw this awesome sight the other day...

Psalm 108:1 
O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

I was blessed to have water to wash a few things...

The Lord dried them with the sun and breeze. We were blessed to deliver some gifts to a saint:)

Today, while in a parking lot getting ready to leave, and a man walked up to talk because he saw the gospel signs.   I love to see how the word draws those who are seeking.  Yes, it also draws a lot of mockers or indifferent people just pass by but those who have some light in them, come to talk and then what they do with it, is between them and God.  We just drive down the road, pressing on and doing what we were created and called to do.  

It's soup weather so I made some (again) from that chicken I bought the other day for $2.  We're thankful for simple foods the Lord provides. 

James 1:17 
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
