Encouragement for Today (12/21/24)

Job 4:4 
Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

Grace and peace to the ekklesia of Christ! We were 'holding up' our signs on the street today and I thought about the word 'uphold' and wanted to share some here to encourage us all.

Psalm 37:24 
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

Psalm 37:17 
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.

Psalm 51:12 
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Psalm 54:4 
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

Psalm 63:8 
My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

Psalm 119:116 
Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

Psalm 145:14 
The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

Isaiah 41:10

I'm thankful to be a servant of the Lord, are you?

We were blessed with a very busy day doing the Lord's work and the GOSPEL went out all over. I was able to share a Spanish gospel card with a woman and she said 'Catholic, same Jesus'.  I shook my head no and pointed to the card (of which we call out the RC faith).  Later in the day another woman (she spoke English also) got a Spanish card and shared what she said would be good to learn in our ministry: 'Cristo viene' (Christ coming).  (She tested our card and said it translated well.) Then while we were in a marketplace, a young family were sitting there and she kept smiling at me so when they left I asked if she spoke English and she said 'no' so I said "Buenas noticias Cristo" and she smiled and took a Spanish Gospel card. My heart rejoices to be able to reach into another culture as we've come across many Spanish people in our ministry and now we have a good resource.  The Lord be glorified!

Psalm 18:49 
Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.

Keep your eyes on Christ and do all your works unto Him with joy and thanksgiving!  He's watching over those who are His, I hope that's you.
