1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Greetings in Christ who is above all things! Brother Tupos took that picture and I wanted to share with you about all the lusts of the flesh you can fulfill in just one parking lot of satan's kingdom. You can make up your face and get your nails done while you smoke and vape nicotine, then get a massage and then you can 'live well' by spending big money on specific nutrients for your body and after all that you can go get a burger and buy some false heart felt inspirational cards. No, godly women don't want to do any of that but it's a warning to us all that there's every single thing of the flesh out here in the world and I want you all to be careful to keep yourself and your homes unspotted from not only those obvious things but also the ones that are subtil and easy to overlook. Can you think of such things that can creep into your homes if you're not diligent in keeping guard? I'll share more on this at a later time but until then I'm sure you know of many. Luke 2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. Be like the shepherds watching over their flock, godly women are to watch over their own lives, the lives of those they take care of and their homes that they are in charge of. 2 Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. I saw this mug in the thrift store... It's so amazing to see the rise of pets to the level of humankind. People would rather have animals than people. Satan has really done a good job luring in the flesh in that area. Right after I saw that mug, I saw this one and put our Spanish Gospel card inside:-) I'll tell you why I was looking for mugs... I broke the one I just got, that I really liked, with some names of Christ our creator on it. As soon as it hit the floor, I had a pang of sadness and disappointment but in my mind I was thinking 'it's just a mug'. I told brother Tupos I was pretty mad at myself because my flesh stung because of it but my heart and mind were saying 'it's just a mug', what's the problem'. We have a battle going on inside of us, literally like 2 different entities...a wicked flesh against the awesome spirit of God. Ephesians 6 comes alive a lot if you're walking in the truth and spirit, fighting against the flesh. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We've gone into new territory this winter, sharing the truth and keeping very busy along the way. We saw this at a truck stop along a busy highway... There's a good chance they put those crosses (pagan) by the cowboy hats because many 'cowboys' claim to be of Christ. Many claim 'God, guns and the bible.) We shined the light of truth while we were there and down the road we went. 2 Thessalonians 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. We've been serving the Lord for many years and every single day, see the same thing over and over and over and over.....that we're glorifying God! You probably thought I'd say that we see darkness and rejection of the truth, which we do but because we focus on the glory of God, we don't grow weary. (Do our best not to and if we do, we quickly put that down and get going again.) Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. We saw these at another truck stop. Fried pies, which are apparently popular in these parts. It reminds me of years ago, stopping at a farmers market stand and the family there were headcovered, come out of the world (somewhat) and they were selling fried pies along with their other goods. The conversation went along okay until the discussion got deeper about whether Christ was God or not and the man ended up getting a loving correction and rebuke. Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Because of a sweet potato sale, an older man got the gospel. He told us, as we were walking into the store, that they marked down sweet potatoes to .10 cents / lb. He had 2 huge boxes of them. Brother Tupos gave him a gospel card and truth. (They were almost sold out but I found one in good shape:-) They had beans on sale too so I found some that weren't in too bad of shape (they were mostly rusty looking which is probably why they marked them down.) A bag of mandarins for .99 cents also so for $1.24 I got some good produce but better yet, the man got the gospel AND the check out woman got one as well, thanking me and reading as I walked out. Matthew 13:20-21 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; [21] Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. I hope that's not her and that she seeks truth. I saw in one store that they were almost sold out on milk. I was thinking that it would be awesome if mankind were thirsty for the word of God and His truth! Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. ****** John 7:37-38 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. I love this..... Go read it for yourself and be edified. A Samaritan woman with such great faith, instantly believing what Christ tells her, so much that she goes and tells the people in the city. I feel like a cross between her, hearing and believing right away and this woman... Luke 7:38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Luke 7:47-48 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. I'm so thankful to have the truth, to have come from darkness to light, to have that hope of eternal life in Christ! That's why brother Tupos and I are so passionate to share His truth with others, so they can too, come to the light and be set free from Satan and His kingdom, the flesh, sin and all the wicked corruption that leads man to death. Do you love your neighbor and tell them the truth? Or do you hide your light under a basket? Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Where we're at is colder but our little heaters really help keep things cozy in our little camper van. We can get along without them but they sure are a great blessing and they (we have 2) don't pull on the generator much which means they use little resources. I like to share glimpse into my Titus 2 / Proverbs 31 life out here on the road because that's my job and it might be encouraging to you as well. I was blessed to have water to wash our socks and a few other things. I let them drip outside (as we were parked in a way nobody could see them) and then hung them in the window in the sun to hopefully dry by the next day. If you're interested, there's a new recipe I posted HERE for a simple dump soup. I also thought you might smile seeing these next two pics. I've never seen such a thing before and have no desire to try them but I thought they were interesting and it made me think about the different foods that people are used to eating. What we eat might be strange to someone who eats fish eyes and cow stomachs or something or like this.... Matthew 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. I might have to be really hungry to be chewing on locusts but if that's all we had, we'd be thankful. We don't live after the flesh anyway do we? Here's something that's different.... Dried watermelon I found severely discounted at a store that's closing out. I used to dry watermelon on the homestead in my dehdrators. We used to get pallet loads of foods and I'd dry them for long term storage. I'm sure many of you are doing a lot of preserving along with your other household duties.
I encourage you to do them all with joy unto the Lord. Speaking of which, I have a lot more things to do yet today so I have to do now, Lord willing coming back soon to encourage you. Seek the kingdom of God as what else compares to that? Something to ponder. Love in Christ, Sister Aman Comments are closed.
