Encouragement for Today (1/28/25)

I saw that mug and it made me sad and righteously angry how people abuse the Grace of God.  Let's put that it in context....

Romans 6:1-4 
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Do a word study on Grace and you'll see it's not what churchianity makes it out to be, a license to sin and have it covered.  (Go HERE for a teaching from brother Tupos on what Grace really is.) 

2 Corinthians 9:8 
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

We saw this while traveling...

It says 'In God we Trust'.

It made me think about how people say such things in vain. 

Deuteronomy 5:11 
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

'Vain' means:

Using the Lord's name without meaning it is empty, it's nothing, it's deceptive and a lie.  Think about how the churches use His name in vain to prop up satan's synagogues and here's a big one...
'Christ'-mass.  
Talk about vain and empty and nothing and a lie.
Saints of God (test yourself HERE to the gospel) won't use His name in vain on their lips, in their hearts or in their actions. 

1 Corinthians 1:4 
I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

Grace won't cover the sin of vanity, repent if you need to and strive on in good works if you already are.
