Encouragement for Today (5/21/24)

Greetings sister saints!
We've had some super busy days again lately so I've been absent here but still doing the works of the Lord that you can see on our street preaching page HERE and an audio that sums up a lot of the recent preaches HERE. In the midst of all this I still think about sister saints all over the world serving the Lord in reverence and fear, doing the works He has set before them.

Hebrews 12:28-29 
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.

I heard it a lot this past weekend.....'God is love, we shouldn't fear God'.
​Even the devils are smarter than that....

James 2:19 
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

They know what's coming....​

Matthew 8:29 
And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

Revelation 12:12 
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Mankind should know what's coming for them because it is written....in the scriptures from the beginning to the end. 

Ecclesiastes 9:5 
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Romans 1:19-22 
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

We know our end (on this earth) is coming soon don't we?  Let us not forget that, keeping it in front of us will keep us humble and remind us to keep preparing for what's ahead.

(I thought you might like to seek out those scriptures and what they say, yourself.)  There are many, many more scriptures and maybe you want to continue the thought on how to prepare for what's ahead. Let us be a 'people prepared for the Lord.'

Luke 1:16-17 
And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

I was thinking about a witnessing conversation I had with a professed Christian woman and she was saying that the way I come across (preaching the gospel and warning our neighbors) would send away people but when I told her the Hebrews 4 sword needs to cut and slice people to reveal what's inside, she agreed, then tried once again, in a soft way, to let me know that the way I was doing it would send people away.  I told her about the rich young ruler and how Jesus 'loved' him by telling him the truth.  

Mark 10:21 
Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Let's not forget some of the first words Jesus said...go read Luke 13:3 and see how soft He wasn't.

What we have found in our ministry is that when we tell people the truth (the worldly professed believers or those who look/act like believers), they get angry and often retaliate with what has been hidden inside them, yet blame us for it all when the Word is what is cutting them and opening up what was already in the dark.  A true believer (or seeker) will welcome the slicing and be willing to expose what's inside, not hide things and use them as weapons after they have been exposed. Testing all things is a big 'must' in the Christian life. 

1 Thessalonians 5:21 
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

One of the first things you want to do is test a person's testimony and see if it lines up with scripture with the evidence of the Holy Spirit leading them.  The only way to do that is in person, face to face, seeing their lives on a regular basis, not just a quick meeting in the street, or emails / texts of written words etc.  Satan is a deceiver and a liar, causing confusion and what we find in our ministry, he's a time waster.  Our time is precious isn't it sisters?  There's too much work to do for the kingdom to be using it on that which we cannot truly test or prove.  Just sharing some things for you to ponder:-)

Ephesians 5:15-16 
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

We're having a rainy day so we went to the marketplace and I had a buy one get one free chicken sandwich so for $3 we had lunch and coffee, with complimentary refills.  We also get to fly our gospel signs on our van by the drive through, we get to sit at a table and work online ministry, our Bible is on that table, we're being fishers of men and we're in the parking lot next to where we will be for the night so we didn't have to use hardly any gas to get there.  Super blessings out here in van life.  

What are some of your blessings in your day? It can be easy to get caught up in what you're doing, what's not going right, being behind on things, being tired or overwhelmed and then overlook the blessings (many) that we each have and the greatest blessing being what?
Christ...and what He has done.

Mark 14:24 
And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.​
