Greetings and love to our striving sister saints! Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Last night we parked at a busy shopping center and the back of our van was toward a car wash, the dumpster and the back of the store where they take deliveries and the front of the van faced the busy road that goes through the parking lot so we had many opportunities to be woken up early by all the noise. We could have fallen into our flesh and been annoyed at it all but we were thankful for all the Lord has done for us and none of the rest matters. (We were also thankful a place to park and the added blessing of it being flat:) Ecclesiastes 1:10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. I love how God's word sets man in his place. When I look around at the world and see man puffing himself up 'creating' things (transportation, designing, internet, robots, AI and all that corruptible stuff) I think of how they are using all that God has already created. Man is so foolish he forgets HE IS CREATED so whatever he thinks he creates is nothing. Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. So much for the lofty thoughts of man. Let us be humble, knowing our place and being thankful for a merciful creator God who made the way to eternal life for us, through Christ. Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: I found a nice super lightweight (big) scarf that makes 2 head coverings, costing .99 cents each at the thrift store this morning. You can see how I do my head covering HERE. It's rare to find them in thrift stores so I never pass them up and the Lord always provides at just the right times! Isaiah 32:16-18 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; We traveled down the road today and are blessed to stay over at one of our favorite places, a big truck stop that has a couple ponds and a little parking area for smaller vehicles (away from much of the noise:-) Brother Tupos and I took a walk when we got here, picking up garbage and got paid by finding $1.10. With that amount I could buy a box of macaroni and cheese and 2 roma tomatoes. Or a big loaf of french bread. Or 3 apples from a gas station that's currently running a special 3/$1. Or 4 big potatoes from that same gas station. A little bit can go a long way and we know if we are faithful with little, it adds up to a lot, not just with money but more so, spiritually. Luke 16:10-11 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches ? There is something to be said about being diligent in ALL things because if you slack in one area, it begins that slow slide into other areas. We don't want that. Doesn't nature teach us? Look at how diligent the birds are, one little bit of mud at a time and through steady work, they build their nests. Pretty incredible isn't it? All the animals and birds and insects and creepy things etc...do some amazing things don't they? Have you ever thought about how an eagle builds a nest from big sticks? They don't have hands, they don't design it out ahead of time, God just gave them what they need to do it all. That's the same for us, He gives us all we need to do what we need. Matthew 6:32-33 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. It was a beautiful, sunny day with clouds floating by, then as we were set up outside after dinner, it started raining but it didn't last long and this is what we were blessed with. I'm so thankful to see sunsets and think about what an awesome God to allow mankind to see His creation, especially after all the sin that went on in the world all day long. Let us rejoice in this amazing God! I've been using soap nuts for washing clothes, you can go check out a simple post HERE if you want. I hope that you honor the Lord in your day no matter how it's going sisters. He is worthy to be praised! I pray you all strive on, loving Him, holding fast to His truth and pressing into the kingdom, working out our salvation with fear and trembling. In Christ, Sister Aman Comments are closed.
