Good day sister saints! I hope your day is going well and you are holding fast the faith once delivered....not twice delivered or 45,000 times like we see in American churchianity that created all sorts of flavors of it. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. We were in a parking lot the other day, getting ready to leave when a woman pulled up in a car. I got out and she said "I want you to have these".... She immediately turned around and was getting in the car, not saying another word as I was offering a gospel card. She took it, shut the door and took off. It was strange and I don't understand it but, whatever, maybe Satan wants people to sit and use their time trying to ponder such things but I refuse to waste my time on that and instead redeem it for the Lord. He knows all things, He can deal with it. It does show, once again, the mindset of American so called Christians. Bumper stickers of: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Hey guess what? In my lost, confused life going to the Lutheran church but not understanding it, I knew we had to believe but I also knew there had to be more because it didn't make sense that Christ died and we had to do nothing but believe. That woman certainly wasn't willing to talk about it so that bumper sticker would do nothing for anyone except let them think they are going to heaven if they just believe in Jesus. Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. I ask, what good would that bumper sticker do for someone? Paired with the previous one it would make a person think if they just believe in Jesus that they get to take of the water of life without any repentance, being born again, obedience or endurance. I totally understand you can't have everything on a sign or a sticker or a card but at the very least if you fly such things on your vehicle, you should be willing to back it up by talking and take a person further. That woman had nothing to say about the Lord or His truth but just handed off something to me. It might be a bit different if she handed me a gospel card or some literature or something but even then she should have been able to talk about the Lord and His truth. Something to think about sisters, even if you have a gospel card that shows the path to eternal life and maybe some warnings about the culture or false churchianity, be ready to talk about it. What would that say if you gave someone a gospel card and they wanted to talk but you either walked away or were not studied to explain it all to them? 2 Timothy 4:1-2 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; [2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. If you hand me one, be ready to talk a while because I'll test you to the word and help you where you lack and I hope you would do the same for me. How about you? Are you ready? Are you working hard to be ready? I hope so....and think about this, you may run into some of the people we've shared truth with and you would be echoing it all and maybe it might help plant seeds deeper in a person. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Study, be earnest, be diligent to be able to rightly divide the word and help a lost soul seeking truth. Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 time... I sewed a tunic for brother Akouo and we were able to give it to him last night when we rolled back into the town he is in for the summer. Hand sewing has it's challenges but it's literally less stress than having a sewing machine. Of course I could sew that up in about 10 minutes with a machine and it took about an hour or so by hand but I have freedom to not have to worry about jammed needles, wrong thread tension and a space to put the machine etc. It's quiet, peaceful and satisfying. Clean clothes are really satisfying too aren't they?! I do a lot of hand washing but I save up the bigger things and do a batch every so often and then hang them to dry while we drive. We were in a town and I went into the laundrymat and saw the cheapest washer was $6.50 so we left and we went to another one along the way which was $2.50. It pays to be patient and shop around, being wise with our resources, amen? Speaking of which, I want to show you what the value of $1 is if you can shop around. (I had this picture in my phone and can't remember if I shared it already but if so, it's another good reminder.) I know that some areas are more pricey than others but we travel the country enough and I've lived in many different states and cat attest that you CAN find really good deals wherever you go, unless you live in a tiny town and rarely get out much. In that case you have options of buying bulk staples (in store or online) for great deals and then use some of that savings to be able to pay a bit more for produce etc. Been there done that too. I can't believe the prices people pay for things today, just to have convenience or snack foods. I see women grabbing $4-5 bags of chips and tossing a few in their carts then moving on to the soda aisle and putting in a few cases, then going to the pre-made foods and putting in a handful of meals that run a minimum of $12 for the cheap ones. Even if you have a lot of money, is it wise to do so? Something to think about... When we met up with brother Akouo last night we gave him a box of foods we found at dent bents (discount grocery stores) and he shared some discounted foods he found, with us, here are a couple unusual ones. I'm sharing this because most people don't travel like we do and can come across such a wide variety of good deals on such unique things but wanna know something? I used to make all sorts of snacks on the homesteads; crackers (chia, flax, almond etc), roasted nuts, seeds, chickpeas, beans etc. There's not much that you can buy, that you can't make if you really wanted to, and inexpensively also. Just sharing some keeper of the home thoughts to encourage you. We saw that sign while in a grocery store, looking at their sale and discount items:-) Interesting how it's a good thing in the culture to cover your hair so it doesn't fall into the food but you're crazy if you cover it for God. Something to ponder if you're struggling with covering your glory for the Lord. Don't be conformed to the world, go read the old testament and see that the women there covered, as in the new and today we should too. Conform to the Word, not the world of satan. Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. I get emails from women asking how they balance covering their head vs pleasing their husband who doesn't want her to. What do you say about that sisters? Do you obey God or man? Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. To not cover your head / glory on a constant basis (not just in 'church' as the heretics say) is a sin. If you sin for your husband, you are held accountable for it. God's not going to put your blame on your husband... you will be held accountable for it and because I love you, I would hold you to that command as well, not fellowshipping with you until we went over it all and you understood and obeyed. That's love sisters, holding us to the word of God. On this topic, I made an audio with some thoughts, including headcovering, clothing and rebellion, to encourage us.
As I type this, we're in a big parking lot, going to be here a few hours catching up online then going to stand out on a public sidewalk (and preach the GOSPEL) at a place that's bringing in a woman that says she can bring messages from dead loved ones. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord : and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Let's see how that preach goes and I think brother Tupos and I might be doing our daily audio on that topic so be sure to look HERE for it. It's time for me to go get more things done sisters. I hope your day was fruitful in the Lord and that you are strong with His Ephesians 6 armor! Keep it on!!! Love to you all, in Christ who is our Saviour and Lord and Master!
