Encouragement for Today (8/14/24)

Greetings sister saints who love and obey the Lord!

Revelation 3:19 
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

I hope you are all doing well, looking to the author and finisher of our faith.  That's from Hebrews 12:2, go look it up and edify yourself!  Brother Tupos and I have been busy out on the streets, praise the Lord, and this morning before we traveled, we flew gospel signs and made a post titled 'Calling America to Repentance'.  In that post, which you can find HERE, I made 3 audios on what women should repent of and there are many more sins to repent of that I didn't cover but what's in there should be edifying to you.  

We're so thankful for all the safe travels we've had through all the miles we've been and Lord willing there will be more, with the gospel going out along the way.  It's so refreshing going into the country between towns and cities. 

Matthew 11:28 
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

He's so wonderful to give us rest and refresh us to keep going in this race and fight that we are in for the truth.

Time is flying by and the visible affects of it is all around us whether it be in nature (the sumac are turning already) or in our own earthly body, getting older but if we have our eyes set in Christ, none of that matters, amen sisters?

Romans 15:6 
That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I love that...one.  I'm so tired of all these different (false) doctrines, beliefs, thoughts etc that are not of God (from people claiming Him) so it's refreshing to think of saints who all are of one mind, speaking the same things, glorifying God in all they do. 

See the painter sticks in the middle of the picture?  We looked at them but decided not to use them....on my new sign design:-)  I've been wanting the option of a higher sign so I've been practicing with brother Tupos (not his huge signs lol) and I think it will be a good option.  Brother Tupos has a wooden pole I can use, we just need a few things and I'll be ready to go.  Well, I do have to ponder what I want on those signs, that's the hardest part.  How do you pick what you can say in a few words when there's so much to say about God's word, but we don't do it to get the entire message to people but enough to draw those who are seeking.  I'll share how that all goes and Lord willing it will be coming up soon, but let's see what happens and if we get those days. 

James 4:15 
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

We saw these in a thrift store and what do you think I thought of?

Judges 15:15 
And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.

Go read about Samson and be edified. (Don't be a Delilah though sisters!)

I saw that in the thrift store also and thought about the concept being good but let's go to scriptures and see an example.

1 Timothy 5:10 
Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

That's about the qualifications of a widow in the body and she has been well reported of good works, meaning people saw what she did and had nothing against her. Here's another good example:

1 Peter 2:12 
Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

I saw these in the store also and thought about how people use them like a good luck trinket of God.  Like that rock can remind you of the attributes you should have in the Lord, thereby relying on that instead of the Holy Spirit which is supposed to be in you, if you're truly a child of God.  No it's not sinful for a person to have them, it's the motive behind it. 

This is one of the thrift stores we stopped in (didn't find anything we needed) and I asked one of the women workers what the name was all about.  Turns out that the store is the result of a bunch of ecumenical churches getting together to fund and operate the store.  I gave her a gospel card and warned her about such places and the sins they propagate in the name of Christ.  

That video is of the parking lot where we parked next to for the night and it seemed to be non stop.  It's such a busy world that people don't stop to ponder what's important but we saints, all over the world, can be a reminder and great light to help anyone seeking. 

Sharing some of God's awesome creations we were thankful to see.

Psalm 57:5 
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

Once again I was blessed to wash a load of clothes and it only cost $2.75 and they had all new machines and the best part was....both brother Tupos and I got to share a gospel card with a woman and man in there.  (The name of the laundry mat was cute too:-)

Maybe some of you know what that's all about? In van life it's often not level so I have a level to help know where to prop up my cooking equipment if I don't want it slopping out the other side.  

Whenever we get a place to park, it's a blessing and I'm thankful. I'll share a few glimpses into our simple meals and great blessings of fresh food. Good pricing on fruit is about over because the season is done, but we were thankful for what we got. 

We found a great deals....

The Lord keeps blessing us with nourishment at a good deal, to keep going down the gospel road.  Speaking of which (going down the gospel road) it's late and I have to get going as we have a lot to get done yet tonight so I better get going but before I do, maybe you want some more edification that brother Tupos and I did called 'Close but Not Close Enough' that you can listen to HERE.
