Encouragement for Today (8/25/24)

Good day in the Lord!
I hope this finds you all well, striving for the incorruptible and not the corruptible!

1 Corinthians 9:25 
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

I've been pondering the corruptible that the world seeks for vs incorruptible that saints of God seek for.  We women surely know all the fleshly things that Satan can use to tempt us, distract us and keep us from seeking truth and we know our enemy which is a good thing.  Knowing your enemy and what he's capable of helps you know what to expect from them but better yet, we know the One who has overcome the enemy and He gives us what we need to overcome him as well!

Colossians 2:15 
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

It was another busy day on the street this morning (see a post HERE about our Aldi preach:-) and then we went to a park when some men walked up to talk.  While that was going on, I saw a woman worker, taking care of the garbage, watching and listening.  I was hoping to see her again later to share some more truth and right before we were leaving, she pulled up to our van on her little electric workers cart and stopped to talk!  Glory to God, we never tire of how He makes things happen.  It's all to His glory as we are nothing without Him.

John 15:4-5 
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

I'm thankful to be able to see the Greek and Hebrew for more depth and understanding. You can get an app on your phone for that but be careful not to read the commentaries that people write about what the scriptures mean, just stay with the facts of what the Greek and Hebrew say because I don't want any of you deceived by the false teachers who write such things.

Matthew 24:11 
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Last week I took a walk and was blessed to see a community garden and appreciate what the Lord has made.  (The pics aren't the best but you gardeners can pick up what's in them.) 

We have some travels across a couple states this week to get to our weekend destination so let's see what happens in it all and if we get the days. We're heading to another so called Christian music event (a good sized one) and I'm looking forward to what the Lord will do and who He might have cross our path along the way:-)  If you're interested, we have another 'various witnessing' post HERE that are some of the witnessing we had in the past couple weeks that night edify you.

Romans 15:2 
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

I have to go and focus on other duties before me just as you do I'm sure:-)  Hold fast to the Lord and let nothing or anyone come in between!
