Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. I was reading and pondering that today, thinking about all the people we meet who claim the name of Christ (for more than a year or two) and they have very little evidence of having the fruit of the Spirit. Even more so, when they admit some of the sins they keep and aren't horrified about it. I look at the attitude that Jesus had when he said that about the blind leading the blind, meaning they both are at fault. Yes, people can be temporarily deceived about something but not for long if they are truly proving or testing all things as we see in 1 Thessalonians 5:21, otherwise it makes the Holy Spirit of God look like He can't help His people. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He can bring us into ALL truth and I also ponder this verse... Luke 13:7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? We know for a fact that people who are truly born again can bear much fruit in 3 years, becoming more perfect (mature and complete Matthew 5:48) but sadly we see this... 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? We know we cannot please God in the flesh (go read Romans 8) so being carnal and having the issues spoken of in the scriptures is not going to please God....you figure out what that means in comparison to something like this... Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. How can you know the perfect will of God by walking in the flesh and not being able to spiritually discern? You can't, and that's proof (that I tell many women out here on the streets) that there's a good chance a person is NOT born from the Spirit of God. It all comes down to rebellion and pride, not submitting to the will of God...who does that sound like? Isaiah 14:13-14 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Satan is the master deceiver, using mankinds own sinful flesh in his works. At a music festival, a young man listened to brother Tupos who was talking to a crowd of people, then he came over to the crowd I was talking to. He asked a few questions and in the end, I warned him that he's blind and he cannot see that he's blind. I encouraged him to go deeper and that brother Tupos would be there to point him in the right direction. We can't make people see, we can just point them in the right direction and they have to walk it out. We're thankful to have had a lot of witnessing in a super big city but also thankful to have headed down the road to those that are half the size or smaller :-) It makes me think about how satan has used all this bigger city, faster moving life to stress people out and cause more fleshly issues and distractions. I'm thankful for the peace the Lord gives His people, no matter where they are... John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. The Lord's perfect timing lined up an awesome witnessing with an old woman, because I bought those beans. The woman ahead of me (a really old woman) noticed my one can of beans (the only thing I was buying) and made a comment. She was really slow walking out of the door and I caught up with her, gave her a gospel card and we had a good conversation. (Brother Tupos got a pic as he was walking over to meet up with me as he was witnessing in the tire shop at the time.) As we were traveling, I was looking at sale ads and when I knew we were going to stop in a town for gas, I looked at a specific store. They had mac n cheese for .29 cents and although we don't eat much pasta anymore, I told brother I felt led to go there and get some and see if there was any witnessing. By the time I left, a young stocker man got 2 gospel cards, one for him and for his buddy that he said loves God too, and an elderly woman who was trying to pull down some yogurt with her cane:-) I helped her and she was thankful for both the help and the card. Praise God, walk in the spirit and He will keep you busy. (I was also blessed with some really good apples for .88 cents lb.) Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Here are a few unique things we found at discount stores...such things make good gifts:-) I also had to share these pics of the cakes. Someone spent a lot of time making them look just right, I hope they pay as much attention to the truth. I talked to a young woman who was seeing how futile all the things of the flesh are. (Not saying these cakes are sinful, just using them as an example.) We're always thankful for our daily food the Lord provides. We had a few days of really cool weather before becoming warm again, giving us a taste of fall weather that's coming, to this area anyway. We're not sure where we will be in the fall but when it cools off, I like making soups, don't you? They're such a simple and inexpensive food to make, if you don't complicate them with costly items. On one of our travels, we stopped at a rest area that we'd stopped at not long before and I saw that one of the gospel cards I put out, was still there. It made me smile because it means the workers left it and I always hope a traveler reads it and helps them find the truth. Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. The more we pour out, the more the Lord fills us up to do more:-) I took a walk down the road to a discount store as brother Tupos was packing up the van to meet up with me. I saw this car along the way. (Hope nobody was hurt in it.) 2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. I made me think of how we feel in the flesh at times and I'm sure some of you can agree. It seems the older we (brother Tupos and I) get, the more the Lord gives us to do, showing His great power that He helps us rise up and over the fleshly obstacles that would like to hold us back. To God be the glory for all things! I love produce stands because it's a good and honest way to make some money and the gospel goes out whenever we stop. Another one of God's amazing creations. We used to raise rabbits (and many other farm animals) for meat and sell them. I loved seeing them have the babies as it amazed me how they, right before birth, pull hair from their underside, line the nest and then gave birth all in the same day. Nobody told them how to make that nest or line it with their soft fur. We could be here all day, marveling at the creatures God made and the different attributes they have. Those are good and pure and true things to ponder as we go about our days. I have to ask, when you see the picture of the parking lot and the sunset, what was your first focus? The parking lot and cars or the sunset? Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. I hope those of you reading this are true children of God and not false converts. Test yourself HERE to the gospel and a 10 pt test. Then ask yourself, what have you lost for Christ? Love to you all, in Christ, Sister Aman (Brother Tupos made this video after I said how cute it looked, the shadow from a bush outside the door:-) Comments are closed.
