Encouragement for Today (9/15/24)

Good day and praise God!  I hope you are setting your mind on the Lord, things above and rejecting the kingdom of Satan and all it's offerings!

Romans 1:8 
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

I hope that's you, that your faith is spoken about from those around you!  It may not be well spoken about by them but we rejoice when that happens...

Matthew 5:11-12 
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

If someone lies about you because you stand for Christ, rejoice!  We bear that all the time and the more you withstand it, the easier it gets because your Ephesians 6 armor gets well worn over time!  

Ephesians 6:10 
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

We stood outside of an Anabaptist church this morning to preach the gospel and help them out of their sins and it was astounding how fast they cleared the parking lot, not showing biblical love to the truth of God's word or His people.  You can see the post HERE if you want and it'll cement even more in you that they are no more biblical and no more loving than the rest of churchianity.  

Mark 7:6 
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

After we left there we stopped at a park for lunch and just as I was finishing it up, a young woman walked up to talk (she got a lot of truth:) and while she was there a man walked up (ended up being a mocker) and after they both left, another man stopped by us as we were packing up to go and we stayed for quite a while talking to him, so it was a super busy day, all to the glory of God!  Tomorrow we hope to catch up with our Roman Catholic preach we did yesterday with the witnessing that went on and then we will be looking to see what direction we will be traveling...if we get more days. 

1 Corinthians 3:19-20 
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

We've seen first hand, that passage be true in so many people...I hope that's not you though.  I thought of that because one of the men that came up to talk at the park, was really interested in politics and to him, it's wise to be involved because he thinks we need to save the culture...but we see that it's foolishness to God and the thoughts of wise are vain. 

Matthew 6:7 
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do : for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

I thought of that verse the other day when we were in the marketplace and I saw a man looking at his food with his head lowered and I figured he was praying.  It made me think of all the vain, repetitive prayers I was taught as a child. I knew 2 bedtime prayers and 2 eating prayers that were said before meals and I often wondered where they came from...did God tell us to say them?  Why did grandpa have a different prayer and my aunt had a different one and I actually liked those better than the ones we had.  Then I used to wonder what God thought when I would hurry and say one really fast because I was hungry, then I'd feel bad.  I bring this up because when we were of the world (which includes churchianity) we have a lot of things that we're taught that we don't realize go against God until we test them.  Sometimes that testing comes because someone else points it out, amen?  Do you do repetitive prayers or even the same ones that you change a little bit but they're essentially the same?  God wants us to worship in spirit and truth, amen?

John 4:24 
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Repetitive prayers are not of the spirit, they are of the flesh and we can't please God in the flesh.  Just sharing some biblical thoughts that have come to me as we go about our days and see things that bring scriptures to mind:)

Galatians 6:3 
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

I was also thinking about that and how many can build himself / herself up into something in comparison to others, but when we look at our beginning, created by a holy God, we are but dust.

Genesis 3:19 
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Let us be this....

Matthew 18:4 
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Let's rejoice in some of God's creation and I'm thankful for simple foods He provides. 

If you haven't lost your life for Christ, repent before it's too late.  See the biblical gospel HERE and seek the Lord and His truth. 

I have to go finish up some of my Titus / Proverbs duties as I'm sure you know all about those:-)
