Greetings in Christ who is King! I hope you're all striving on in the faith once delivered to the saints, not the false one delivered to heretical churchianity. 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. I was pondering peace and safety and how the world seeks it in all the wrong ways. Godly women seek peace and safety in Christ but the world seeks it through the flesh, financial stability, housing and material things, adding on top of that, they put Christ and eternal security. Yep, even the people who claim that you must endure live the same way as those who don't (OSAS) and it's all lip service. Let that not be the so among godly women. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-10 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. I was in the grocery store and heard a woman say to her friend "I'm tired of beef and chicken". I was thinking how thankful she should be to afford to buy such meat, but unthankfulness is growing (read 2 Timothy 3:2) in the last days especially in America...the land of plenty. 1 Corinthians 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them... Women need to be careful about getting wrapped up in too much time over thinking about what to cook, shopping for it, and paying high dollars for it lest it becomes an idol or be an idle use of time. Be thankful for whatever we have and give glory to God by going about the good works He gave us to do. I saw this in my notes and the bluntness of it made me smile because it's true. The world wants to be filled up in happiness but saints of God want to be filled with joy and peace, which we can't have without Christ. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. A woman we witnessed to said she's of the church of 'Now', which is new ageism yet she's claiming to be born again. We see a pattern of people leaving the church system which is a good thing but they're going far of into more lies and deception of the new age / spiritual teachings and whatever is in their mind and flesh. Don't think a believer can't be stumbled into such things.... Galatians 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. They use such things as the word 'meditate' which you will see in the scriptures: Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. That's just one example of it being used in the Bible but they twist the word meditate to mean that you need to empty yourself. Ponder that...should we be emptying ourselves if we're of God? Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Be filled it says, with the Holy Spirit. Let's take a look at what emptying can lead to... Luke 11:24-25 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Nice and empty, swept clean....rather like the new age people tell you. Luke 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. We were out preaching on a busy corner by a college and I walked to the park that was only a mile away and met up with brother Tupos, along the way I saw what looked like a group of people doing yoga in the park. It made me think about how years ago most people used to know yoga was of the pagans /new agers / Gaia worshippers but today it's highly looked at by so called professed believers of Christ. The 'churches' today are the synagogues of Satan, created of man and the enemy the devil, not of God. Christ's people are called out and set apart from it all. A view of marketplace witnessing and our van always has gospel signs all over it. It's pretty easy to find us if someone drives in the parking lot (they can't miss our van) and then comes in the place looking for the owners. We look like Christians, we have our Bible and I've been bringing my gospel bag in. (It also works as a mocker blocker which we've had many times in the past, come and sit by us in our booth.) I went into the grocery store and immediately got an opportunity to share some truth with this Amish couple. It was really brief because the man was angry looking but the woman took the card (see it in her hand) and I only talked for maybe less than 2 minutes but I can say a lot in that time:-) He whipped the cart around, mumbling something and walked away. As they saw me on the other side of the aisle I heard him say to her 'you stay with me'. (I'm hoping the gospel card stayed with her though...) Mark 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. Sights like that make us rejoice! :-) We're always looking for it and thankful to have water and the Lord always provides it right when we need it. That was in a park that we stopped at, after flying gospel signs along the Mississippi River a long the way. (See that post HERE with some thoughts and edification from brother Tupos and I.) We had just parked the van and saw a few canopies set up a long the sidewalk so I suggested we take a walk and see what's going on. It was a tiny farmers market and one of the booths had some vegetables for incredible deals and she got the gospel. I still have a lot of freeze dried vegetables to use up so I go between those and fresh (when I find good deals). I like to sprinkle a garlic / herb seasoning on veggies and then some parmesan cheese that I found discounted:) Speaking of discount, check out the yummy treat I found the other day for $1 total. And here's another example of a $1 find. We rarely eat fast food unless it's an extreme bargain or points used for free...who doesn't like chicken nuggets for lunch? And here's another example of a great deal. I shared on a post a while ago that I found some fake meat (vegetarian something or other that is a meat substitute) on discount so I got a nice amount of them, well, I found a couple more for half that price and grabbed them along with a can of sloppy Joe sauce (which I haven't had for many years:). I only needed to use half the can so the total price for this pot full was $1.23 of which myself, brother Tupos and brother Akouo ate from and had left overs. There's a witnessing story behind it also. I already knew we liked these when I found them discounted again so I was bent down getting 2 more when a woman walked up and was looking at some items higher up on the shelf. I told her about this product and she thanked me, saying her daughter would love them....and the gospel went out!!! The awesome part is that I purposely went in the store for a witness walk, not needing anything and hoped to share the gospel. I went into a store looking for a specific product and didn't find it and almost walked out with nothing when I saw these little mayo jars and grabbed one. (I like the smaller ones for the cooler as they don't take up as much room.) I checked out, gave the woman a gospel card and warned her about man made religion and it turns out we had a nice conversation about how she was a Roman Catholic and saw through some of it and has been thinking about some of the other things I told her. All the glory to God for the witnessing that goes on! I use that mayo when making the waffle bread, check out the recipe on the Titus 2 page. Every so often we have this treat with this bread, peanut butter, molasses, sugar free chocolate syrup and sour cream. It's a healthy dessert and inexpensive too. While we're talking about food (which is part of our Titus 2 / Proverbs 31 duties:-), here's little sample treat brother Tupos got in the gas station. They often have an older woman putting out little plates of the foods they offer in hopes that people buy them and they freely and generously hand them out. They always get the gospel with a thank you. Wonder who they are referring to giving thanks to? Godly women know who to thank... 2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. Brother Tupos blessed a neighbor (who parked behind us for the night) with an awesome gift! (See the gospel card on his window:). Go HERE to test yourself to the gospel and see if you are truly in the faith or following a false gospel that Satan has created, that seems like the real one. We continue to meet people who claim to be born again yet they have virtually no fruit except lip service. We see a lot of words and sometimes tears about loving the Lord and wanting to serve Him but their lives show almost nothing to back that up. That's actually using the Lord's name in vain, lifting Him up but having rotten fruit behind it. We don't want to be doing any such thing....be sure to mean what you say and be striving in the truth. Brother Tupos put some outside lights on the van and I thought I'd leave us off with some encouragement about being in the light... Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. A quick view of where I am as I type this... We're getting ready to head out on the streets to fly gospel signs in a down town area of a busy little town, so let's see how that goes and I'm sure we'll have a post to come afterwards. (HERE's that post.) The Lord be glorified in all we saints around the world do for Him for He is worthy! Love to you all, in Christ, Sister Aman Comments are closed.
