Encouragement for Today

Peace, love and joy in the name of the Lord to those who love Him!
​I wanted to share this passage with you...

Acts 16:23-34 
And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 
And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
​And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

It's encouraging to read about those who repent and it makes me think of this...

Luke 15:10 
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

It says he washed their stripes.  I can't imagine what he was thinking while taking care of them, the remorse for their punishment but yet joy in faith of the Lord! Back then, coming to Christ could mean your death...today, in churchianity, it just means going to church or even if you don't go, just believe, but we know that's not true. Our Savior is worth dying for as He was the perfect example of that for us. 

Isaiah 53:10-12
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Let us all let go of this life.  The older we (brother Tupos and I) get and the more we do this ministry out here on the streets, the more we see we're not of this world and eternity is coming soon.  We've been busy out here, diligently standing for the Lord, contending for the faith and giving hope to those who are seeking truth. We're adding bits and pieces of our witnessing to the street preaching update post (in draft) that will be published in several weeks to edify you all and anyone wanting to see a glimpse of truth being shared out here...

...and a glimpse into Titus 2 going on out here.  I try to hand wash what I can but in-between we go to laundromats, which end up being good witnessing grounds.  

A woman pulled up by our van while we were waiting for the clothes to wash and she got a lot of truth then afterwards we flew gospel signs in a different town on a busy road while it was misting and drizzling.  When the sky cleared I hung my clothes out and we went back on the street for more sign flying.  As we were packing up to leave, a home fellowship couple pulled up and talked for quite some time.  She was even biblically headcovered which was refreshing...and we hope they go deeper as brother Tupos shared a lot of truth with the man.  Down the gospel road we go, lifting up Christ our Messiah and Savior.  Lift Him up in your life and make sure everyone you know has been given the gospel (see that HERE), the life saving truth that can transform lives. 

Titus 2:13-14 
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
​Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
