Encouragement on 'Increase'

Praise the Lord for He hasn't destroyed us but given us the hope of eternal life through Christ! I thought it might be edifying to share some verses on 'increase'.  

Mark 4:8 
And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.

Godly women want to increase their fruit for the Lord and how does that happen?  First of all a person has to make sure they're born of the Spirit of God through the Gospel, which you can test yourself HERE.  The result of that is, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we produce abundant good works which are fruits.

Luke 2:52 
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

What an awesome example to follow!

Luke 17:5 
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

That reminds me of the mustard seed Jesus talks about, go read it for yourself in Matthew 17.

John 3:30 
He must increase, but I must decrease.

In a sense, by our decreasing, we are increasing our good works unto Him because we're killing off anything that would increase us against Him.  This next verse helps us with that....

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Godly women want NOTHING in their lives to be exalting itself against the knowledge of God. 

Acts 6:7 
And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Contrary to churchianity who grows their (false churches), God grows His Ekklesia (body of Christ). 

1 Corinthians 3:6-7 
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

God is the one that grows the faith and knowlege and truth in those who are willing to yield their lives to Him and hear the preaching of the Word.  Saints share the truth but after that, it's all of God what happens in them, not how we say things, or what we do (all in love of course) but it's the Spirit of God that works in a person.  

1 Thessalonians 3:12 
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

Godly love isn't what mankind thinks it is. Cooking a nice meal for people, helping someone, being nice, godly hugs and things like that are certainly good but the truth is the best way to love someone whether it's painful for the person or not.  I'd rather have someone give me the truth than a steak and potato dinner.  I say that because we had a woman talk to us, claiming to be a believer, claiming to want truth and trying to strive in her life.  I offered help and in fact emailed her with scriptures and encouragement but the response I got back was not praises for the truth and the word, but this...

No response to scriptures but just that one comment. 

That was wicked...just saying.  To the undiscerning (who need to learn such things and 'increase' in knowledge) that was a terrible disregard for the word of God that brings life, the spiritual bread / food we should be seeking first and foremost.

I pray that you, who are reading this, (and me) are increasing in truth, knowledge, faith and much more in the Lord as the years go on in our walk.
