2 Timothy 2:24-26 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. Praise the Lord for another day to serve Him! We're thankful to have arrived at our destination for the next few days, Lord willing we get the days that is. I wanted to share a little story with you about why we go preach the gospel. (Test yourself to the biblical gospel HERE.) We were out flying gospel signs at a busy intersection and preaching to the people walking by and while I was sharing truth with a woman who was waiting to cross the street, this man walked up and asked me what repent means. We had a brief discussion about what that was, I shared the gospel, warned him about coming out of the culture, the flesh and man made religion and that Christ will return to destroy all that, to look up 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 and then I told him that brother Tupos would be happy to answer any questions. He had to get going but said he'd email....and he did. I thought of the verse above, about how to give an answer to those who claim to believe but yet are short of the truth. Brother Tupos sent him these audios (pt 1 HERE and pt 2 HERE) that are filled with scriptures on Christ's Return, maybe they will edify you as well. 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; As time goes on and false doctrines multiply and flourish, we see the combining of all the different versions of Christianity coming together. What once divided the (unbiblical) denominations / non-denoms and caused friction between them is now disappearing and whatever anyone wants to believe, goes for any flavor and everyone is accepting of anything. We hear this a lot... 'I believe this, you believe that and we can agree to disagree'. Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. We go out in the world on the streets to stand for the glory of God and His truth, lift up Christ crucified and in that will come the combating of false doctrines and showing the lies to the people following them all. This man was challenged in his beliefs, reached out and was given truth. That's really encouraging (and we have other stories like that) because thousands of cars and people can go by us and ignore, mock or thumbs up (but never reach) out and yet the 'one' will walk up or email etc. Jesus said 'few' and He meant it...we certainly see that out here. Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. I'm thankful for the preaching of the gospel because it changed my life, I want that for the other very few out there. Thankfully I wasn't indoctrinated in the (unbiblical) Lutheran faith so I had nothing much to 'undo' but many people have a lot of baggage from all the lies they've been taught (from the churches) so Brother Tupos and I help people tear all that down, being 'apt to teach, patient and able to instruct them' and with that, our website dontperish.com is a good resource for anyone around the world. We're just out here doing what we can for the Lord and to love our neighbors who are perishing. How about you? Are you faithful in sharing the gospel? Are you faithful in the calling the Lord has for you? Acts 18:25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. Apollos was encouraging to me as a new believer because he had to be taught more but what He knew, he was fervent in Spirit and was diligently sharing. Let that be all godly women, sharing all we know to the glory of God, praising Him in our speech to others, preaching the gospel, lifting up Christ, and helping our neighbors see the truth before they perish. 2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. Comments are closed.
