As the Lord has set all things in motion, we see repetitive cycles in many areas of our lives, including those of a godly woman. (Test yourself HERE to the biblical gospel.) I'll share some of my duties with you as a godly woman out here in van life on the gospel road. I saw this shopping list in a grocery store parking lot as I was walking back to the van. I saw it while walking through a grocery store parking lot heading back to the van. Gone are the days when everyone wrote things down on paper....saying that makes me old lol. I remember the day when typewriters were manual and you had to push really hard on each key to have the little striker smack the ink strip on the paper to make the letter or number mark on the paper. Like this one I saw in a thrift store. It's pretty incredible how technology is now vs then....fingers tapping a glass screen (or speech text) and messages being sent in an instant. Nectarines were .76 cents each so I weighed a few of them to see if it would be a good deal and took a few of the heaviest ones. We were doing a witness walks through a store and a worker man was giving away chip samples so we each got a little tray and the man got the gospel. As I was eating mine, an older woman was smiling and said something about how we have to treat ourselves. I told her about the samples and she thanked me then asked if I was a Christian (I was also flying my gospel bag) and she got truth, as well as other encounters we had in the store. Simple witness walks end up being fruitful in the Lord with the word going out. I was blessed to go through a store that is known for discounting produce, meat, yogurts etc (you can see the discount lettuce in the pic) and in there I found more of these tuna packages for $1. I'll admit, I can get a little bit more plain tuna in a can for that price but we appreciate having some of these on hand to toss on top of lettuce for a fast but filling meal. In van life, they're great if you're in a spot that you can't go outside and drain off the smelly tuna water (like in a downtown area when we're getting ready to fly signs) because they're ready to eat from the package. They also have things like beans, corn, quinoa, pasta etc in them, depending on which one you get. This goes along with my comments over the years for women to have a stash of 'convenience foods' that you can quickly whip up a meal in minutes, this is one of mine. I saw these mugs in a thrift store and lined them up to take a picture. I think there's normally one more that says love but I could be wrong on that. Anyway, They would be nice for a true godly woman to have but sadly these are mostly used by people who worship the Lord with their lips but their hearts are far from them. These are like suggestive mugs that people can embrace as something of their own. I have hope! I have peace! I believe! That's good enough for me! I ask... Hope in what or who? Peace in what or who? Belief in what or who? I'm sure we'd get an assortment of answers, most of which would say Jesus or God but then there'd also be the new agers, earth worshipers, Buddhists etc referencing their god(s) or savior(s). Just a warning, beware of giving such things to people who profess being of the Lord but deny Him in their lives by living in sin. You don't want to mislead them into thinking they are part of Him when they need the gospel instead of mugs. Ponder that. I did a witness walk through an outdoor shopping mall and saw this in one of the windows. It's referring to 'more' rewards but I thought about how the world wants 'more more more' of everything to satisfy the flesh. Godly women are not immune to such things and we all have to be careful to not get swept away in 'more' if it's not needed. Having things, more than you need, isn't necessarily sinful until they become idols, or you covet them or covet more or they take up so much of your time that you can't do what is most important. Ponder what material things you have and see if there are 'more' than you need and if they are sweeping you away. I saw this laundry basket and it made me smile. Sometimes it feels like that doesn't it...especially if you have a large family:) Keep going on your good works because even though they are the same every day (most often) they are good works if done heartily unto the Lord! Let's give God glory for some of His MANY flower creations! More Titus 2 works below and some pics have recipes connected to them if you click the pic. The works of a godly woman can be the same thing day after day but all to the glory of God if done heartily unto Him. Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; I'm sure you do many of the same things I'll put here but maybe some will be an encouragement or make you smile at what is good, pure, true..... Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. I'm thankful to be a godly woman, set free from being an ungodly child of the devil through the gospel which you can test yourself to HERE. As we travel down the gospel road we stop at waysides and put out gospel cards. Brother Tupos drops me off at one end and I walk to meet him while he puts out cards at the other end. I hope people read and heed the gospel. We've had people reach out to us who have found our gospel cards in such areas:-) Part of my Titus 2 duties are to map out our travels where we can park along the way and this is what a recent set up looked like, flying my gospel signs while doing so in the marketplace. Brother Tupos took this picture to send to a brother who works a second job as a cook and the place he works makes similar things there. Almost $10 for that?! We always marvel at the cost people will pay for food today. There's no sin in someone eating out or buying convenience foods but to make a habit of it (if it's expensive) is not being wise with the resources that God has provided. Click the picture above to go to the recipe. Van life brother fixed a hole in his shirt and made a pizza from his second job. I don't think that even if I had an iron and a big patch that would fix the big hole in brother Tupos shirt:-) It's getting pretty worn through (many years old) so I might just save it for the material needed to fix his other shirts, but we'll see if I try fixing or just save it. Click the picture below to go see our fish fry:-) This stain treatment works great! I used it on the (really dirty) cuffs of brother Tupos long sleeve over shirt and I was surprised at how clean it got them. I put it on just before tossing into the washer. Just sharing in case you have this product and wonder if it works:-) Click the picture below to go to a new salad recipe. When I see sweets like this and the over abundance of prepared foods..... I think of this.... Proverbs 23:1-3 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee: And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat. 'Desirous' means to lust after or covet. It's not sinful to buy (or make) and eat such things but they shouldn't become a daily part of our lives, overtaking what should be healthy and we shouldn't be lusting for them, being gluttonous over them. Give God glory for His awesome creation! There's a store brand around this area that I have found kombucha for $1.50 / bottle.... So when we can, we stop in and I go see and this time I found 7 but better yet, 5 people got the gospel and truth! Click the picture above to see a post called 'Name Brand vs Off Brand Savings' to encourage us all to be very frugal in the resources the Lord has given us. Every morning I make myself a little cup of hot tea and sometimes I look at the words on the tag hanging on the string. It might as well be signed 'satan' because it's a wicked thing to say to such a dark, fleshly, carnal world. Romans 8:7-8 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. We want to do more of what makes God 'happy' or better phrased 'pleased'. Romans 8:1-4 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. It's almost April and where we are it's the beginning of garden season with the rest of the country following close behind. I thought I'd give encouragement to godly gardening women who have a big task ahead of you. After we park for the night (if it's a grocery store) I go in for a witness walk, flying my gospel bag. I walk up and down the aisles, in and out, between the racks and let people see my bag. This woman commented on it, got a gospel card and listened to truth for a few minutes before she moved along on her way. On that night, as I was leaving the store, I saw these... I thought all the pot colors were pretty hanging there and when I got closer I saw the plants were pretty much dead. It reminded me of man made religion....people going to church and thinking they look all religious and faithful but pretty much dead (spiritually). Those plants were lacking physical water and true saints can become that way if they turn away from the spiritual waters of life through Christ. Be like this... ...alive and vibrant in the Lord. As I type this, it's raining out (has been off and on all day) and it makes for more trials in van life than in a house, but that's okay. My small floor is really easy to clean but constantly gets extra dirty really fast in the rain from gravel, dirt, and parking lot gunk.... ...so I have to kill my flesh and wait until we're done going in and out, let it dry then sweep / wipe it at the end of the day. In a house you can have a spot to enter in, take off really dirty shoes and then walk around but not in van life where floor space is limited and you're in an out all the time. It's a mental adjustment but once you let that all go, you get to focus on other things rather than worrying about a dirty floor:-) I'm off to go do some other things that need to be done but I'll leave with a few more glimpses out here on pictures. Keep pressing into your duties as godly women (I hope you are one) and rejoice to be able to do so.
Love in Christ, Sister Aman Here's another simple encouragement post for Titus 2 / Proverbs 31 women who are obedient to the calling of the Lord in their lives, taking care of their homes, their family and doing good works unto Him. You can only be child of God through the gospel so test yourself to it HERE and be not deceived by false gospels that abound. I took that picture because I was astounded at how many barbeque sauces they offer and that's not all of them as other stores offer different kinds and it reminds me of churchianity. Some of the BBQ sauces taste really close to the same but there are a few different ingredients just like the churches sound the same but there are a few different false doctrines. Just like a recipe is easy to change by altering a few ingredient, all churches have to do is mix up a few of the doctrines, say them a bit different and you have a new flavor of 'church'. If you look close in the picture, you'll see some say 'Original'. Not sure of those sauces truly are the very first original but we know what the original truth of God is and true saints won't be deceived or led astray by all the other flavors of churchianity. I thought I'd show you some shells that we found from months ago when we flew gospel signs by Space X (see that post HERE) and the beach was just a couple blocks away (see that post HERE). We walked a 6 mile round trip to the bottom tip of America, marveling at the awesome ocean creation and along the way I picked up some (no, I picked up a LOT) of shells (and had to sort out to only keep a few:-) that we put on the board of my overhead shelf. Every day I get to look at them and give God glory for allowing us to not only hear the ocean (it was roaring that day) but see it and some of His wonderful creation that lives in it. Here are a few more shells (and a coral and sand dollar) in the pic below... ... as well as a few other things that remind of me specific memories that I'm thankful for or learned lessons from. I don't decorate my house unless it's something extremely meaningful or of God's creation or something with scripture:) Just sharing a bit of my little Titus 2 home with you:) We have been traveling back east through Texas, heading to areas that are supposed to be less windy and less dirt storms but last night proved us wrong. (We've been through several wicked dust / dirt storms this winter lol.) That was the beautiful sunset, the breeze was blowing, the birds were singing and gathering up to roost and it was a peaceful evening. Until.... ..the wind picked up and a big dirt storm blew in from New Mexico and totally covered us. We hurried and shut all the windows but with the wind blowing so hard, it kept blowing tiny dust particles in the van, so much that we were breathing it in all night. Needless to say, we were still thankful to be out here in the gospel road, doing the works of the Lord. The gospel is more important than some physical comfort and all this is dung compared to Christ anyway, amen?! Some places we park for the night smell awful so I have a little USB air freshener (you can see the post HERE) and I also make my own air freshener spray that you can see HERE. I went into the store for a witness walk and saw this soup. I had just grabbed a can and thought we could try it when a man told me he liked my gospel bag (which says 'Repent Obey Jesus') so I gave his wife a gospel card, went through the gospel and shortly into the conversation he walked away and she was defending sin and wanted nothing more to do with the truth and rode off on her scooter chair. It's amazing to me how proud mankind is even in weakened physical states, old and close to death. I left the store and as I walked by the cars parked in the handicap area I saw this... She was the only one that looked like they would need a handicap spot and they were forward about their faith so it's probably theirs. I hope they repent. As I get ready to post this (I add to it through the days as I can), we've traveled to a place that's further away from the desert and some stores have their flowers and plants out for sale. I posted this pic on the last post and asked if you knew what scriptures I thought of when I walked past that door, and said I'd be back to share them. Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Luke 13:24-25 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: We can see the goodness and severity of the Lord all throughout the scriptures go read Romans 11 and see for yourself. Time for me to go now but before I do, here are a few more pics to encourage you and maybe make you smile. Proverbs 19:14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord. Sister Aman
The Lord blessed us with more days to live and serve Him, being thankful and content in them all. Thankful for what the Lord has done and the hope of eternal life with Him if we endure. (Test yourself to the gospel HERE, be sure you are following the real Jesus through the biblical gospel, not one of the many false ones of today.) I hope you endure where you are, in the works He has for you and I'm here to encourage you in this part of Titus 2 / Proverbs 31 as well as teachings and edification HERE. Genesis 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; We've been in a desert climate for a while now and I can't help but think about that verse above about thorns and thistles and how true it is. Having had many gardens and starting them from raw ground, I certainly know about all the weeds, thorns, thistles and other issues that come forth from it all. I also think about how easy this life is today with all the grocery stores offering whatever we want or need instead of having to toil the ground. Yes, we have to work for money but it's not that hard to make a living and exist relatively decently in this land of plenty (if you live frugal as a saint would). One misses a lot of learning and growing by not having to toil for food, or for that matter, any amount of physical toil to earn their money. I'm blessed to have been poor, have plenty of money, grow gardens, raise animals, cook everything myself, buy pre-made foods, work physically hard jobs, work mentally hard jobs, live in a house, live in a van, live off grid, live with electricity and running water etc. It does make for a well rounded person with much thankfulness that others who have grown up with what they call a 'silver spoon' (meaning not having to toil much for anything and living well according to cultures standards) don't understand. I will say this though...if you're truly a saint of God and you have much and are used to having it, spending it and living really well, a lot in your life will change as the Lord shows you that simplicity is what He wants. You'll learn that all the things you have, the extra comforts, the conveniences, the fancy foods etc are nothing compared to the kingdom of God and you will eliminate much and get to the basics so you can focus on Him. Test me to see if that's true:-) In this dry and dusty land, we've been through several wind / dust storms. Here's the latest one and I'll include one from before (that I already posted). We've taken walks through them, fighting the wind, the sand in your eyes and mouth and when we get back to our little van home, we're extra thankful. There's something to be said when you're stretched, overworked, pressed hard in your life or trials that when you overcome, there's extra thankfulness and rejoicing in the Lord. Ponder that the next time you're going through trials, stress in your life, having to fight through storms that it's a good thing and ponder what you can learn through them. I've been through tons of spiritual storms in my walk and early on, I would just want them over with because it was painful and / or confusing or sad etc...but as I matured, I forced myself to think rationally and remind myself that lessons are going to be learned so be wise, aware with watching and waiting in it all, and I found I matured more quickly that way instead of just wanting to be done and over with them. James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. We were blessed to have a free camping / parking spot by a park for a couple nights where we weathered a sand storm. While it was calm, before a storm, we went for a walk and in the park and saw this little building. I thought about how simple the prairie houses used to be and people were probably very thankful for the shelter from the winds that don't seem to quit here at times:-) Are you thankful for what you have or are you looking for more? Brother Tupos uses some stuff on our tires that helps not only keep them clean but protects them from dry rot. During the recent storm, all the dust stuck to them:-) Lord willing there might be a day coming up in the next week that the wind and sand might let up so we can clean our van home, tires included. He does a good job keeping our little home rolling down the road. We have a shelf that runs along the top of the van and that hold up containers (that you can see in the pic above) and I recently found this plaque and had to share about it:-) I've been working on various Spanish phrases (as we're in areas where the language is greatly spoken) and I found this little plaque at a thrift store and brother Tupos put up for me. It means "With God everything is possible". I've been looking for something simple like that and was rejoicing to have found it and when I look at it I think of how brother and I were so lost and wicked and through the Lord / the gospel, we were made new creations. That's truly a work of God! And it's a reminder and encouragement for me to keep working on Spanish because, Lord willing, we may be by them more often and have the opportunity to share more truth with them. Brother Tupos found some Mexican candy so we could try:-) A nice little treat. When we go to the marketplace (flying our gospel signs on the van, my gospel sign on my computer and our Bible on the table) we get a coffee on the app for .99 cents (sometimes the old people's coffee in the little senior cup for really low price lol) and I save the cups for messy cooking things and then toss them away. I made that picture for brother Tupos to share with a brother who makes pancakes and eggs and let him know it's a good way to save on clean up time, water and wipes etc by using them. That same brother has been eating burritos a lot lately, which are a good, simple meal and we've been having tostadas. Both of those are excellent meals to have on a regular basis as you can fill tortillas or top tostadas with any toppings you like (meat, eggs, refried beans, cheese, lentils, rice, chili etc) and they're really affordable to do especially for women who have kitchens and can cook the fixings from scratch. If you're looking for simple, fast meals, think about putting these on your menu each week. (Yep those are my chopsticks in the pic and I'm pondering a possible post on my own sort of 'cancel culture':-) I love that advertisement on that little, tiny restaurant:-) Fits with the topic here lol:-) Click the pic above to see a simple recipe. I'm thankful for all the kitchen tools I have and here are 2 I use every single day. There's something to be said about having the right tool for the job. (The narrow one is what I use drain the melted ice water from the cooler, into a spare gallon jug to put in the front hand wash station and the wide mouth is to funnel ice into our thermal water containers that we drink from every day. These tools are awesome and help me do what I need every day but the word of God is even more awesome and more necessary than all that we have in our kitchens. Sadly most women know how to use their kitchen tools way better and more often than the word of God. Don't let that be you, or me. 2 Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: We stayed at a truck stop the other night.... I was super rejoicing, greatly thankful that it was flat side to side (no slant to the our head or feet) even though it felt like the back of the van was in a hole lol. It's amazing how you let go of so much in this life, from having to hear loud semi trucks coming and going all night even to dealing with the tilting of a bed. I walked a few blocks to a store while brother Tupos drove the van down to meet me and what I saw that door, what scriptures do you think came to mind? I'll put it on the next post:-) So those are some godly women thoughts, sharing and hopefully encouragement for you out there.
God be praised! Sister Aman |
