Here's a very simple base recipe that comes together in minutes using canned foods. You can use frozen or fresh if you want but canned works out great for quick meals and you can always have them on hand for last minute meals. 1 can of each: * Chicken * Corn * Potatoes (whatever seasonings you like) Drain and dump into a pot, just barely cover with water and bring to a boil. Lower heat and add some milk until it's heated. (I don't measure but maybe a cup or so.) Serve and enjoy. If you want it thicker you can add potato flakes. I add bouillon, dried onions and some garlic seasoning mix I found at the dollar store. It would be good with cheese or really, anything else you want to add to it, but this is just a simple base to use...good by itself or add more to it. Here's a cost breakdown that I paid... Chicken $1.18 Corn .50 Potatoes .96 $2.64 total It would be good without the chicken too:-). Let us be thankful for simple healthy foods from the Lord.
