The Lord is merciful to have given me more days (and you too:-) so I share a bit of them with you here as some Titus 2 / Proverbs 31 encouragement. We're traveling down the gospel road (test yourself HERE) doing the works the Lord has before us, being thankful and rejoicing. How about you? Are you being diligent in your godly woman duties and rejoicing, being thankful and obedient? To God be the glory for all we do! Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; I share with women that it's good to have an assortment of ingredients for super quick meals, even if it costs a bit more because it's only for 'those' times when everything has piled up, you're extra busy, you're not feeling well or just one of those days when you need some extra time and don't want to spend it on cooking. Here's something I found for a great deal, precooked pasta. All I need to do is heat it up, top it with oil and some seasonings or toss it into a salad for a heartier meal or it can quickly stretch a can of soup or chili. They're hard to find at that price ($1.25) so I stocked up on a few. I'm thankful for such things in van life. I wanted to share that picture....a very small amount of precooked chopped chicken (probably left over from their deli offering the day before) costs over $10 and people on low income (government help with food) can buy that! I find that absolutely absurd that people would waste money like that if they're truly hungry but then again, it's easy to waste someone else's money than to use your own if you had to work hard for it. I can afford to buy such things but would never consider that as it's not wise at all. I see the pricing inching up almost on a weekly basis, pennies here a dime more there and to most people who don't pay attention and don't have a budget, (not adding things up as they go) they don't really notice it until the end and they look at their grocery bill after they ring it all up. It's the same in the spiritual sense if you're walking in the flesh a little here and a little there, you don't realize how far away you can be until the end so we need to do a constant evaluation as we walk this walk to keep in the truth. I was able to witness to a young woman who (with her Mexican husband and small children) have a business of picking strawberries and reselling them. As we were leaving, brother Tupos witnessed to a man that claimed to be a Roman Catholic (he gave us a dozen eggs). We're thankful for such things but even more so....the truth going out! I saw that dead pigeon in a parking lot and admired its beauty but was sad for it's death. It made me think of how fast life goes and are we ready for what's coming? If we're truly born again holy women, we have a great promise to look forward to.... 1 Corinthians 15:55-58 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. I found a skirt at a thrift store and it had some really hard elastic on it so I removed it, sewed the top over and put in a draw string. I have more sewing to do for brother Tupos on some shirts we found, to make them more plain. You can see a post I did HERE about that. I don't get much time to do Titus 2 Proverbs 31 posts very often but I'll continue, here and there, to post when I can as I know it's encouraging to see other women, who love the Lord, doing their good works unto Him. Go HERE to see a quick video on Dark to Light. I hope you all strive on for the Lord as He is worthy!!!
