Out here in van life, I might not have duties that take as long as some of yours but I have them none the less, so I share a glimpse into my world out here as a godly woman serving the Lord, preaching the gospel (find that HERE) to the lost. As we were walking to a preach (see that HERE) I saw that painted wall and made a video of the flowers, a bit of peace before venturing into the masses. Do you ever feel like this??? Worn down, drained, almost lifeless, tired etc...... Water perks up the physical and the spiritual water of life restores us! Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Check this out..... I'm sure there are some of you reading this that are old enough to remember the old type clothes pins:-) The kind that if you didn't put them on right while hanging out the clothes, the wind would blow and they would pop off and the clothes would fly across the yard. I also remember when this.... ...was considered 'technology' :-) and then dryers were invented. I'll take hang drying any day:-) Saw this stove in a dent bent discount grocery store (where the gospel went out:-) and thought about how that used to be technology compared to cooking over a fire and look at what is available today to cook with. Yeah, times sure change and the changes are coming faster and faster it seems. One thing we can be assured of is that the Lord and His truth never change. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. I thought I'd share typical evening parking views, real life on the road. Let's give God glory for His amazing creation! I added more recipes if you're interested:-) (Click the titles and go to the recipe.) *Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches *Tuna Pitas *Tostada Meal Kit * Tuna Tostadas * Ravioli Soup * Peanut Butter Jam Tostadas They might not be anything that you will use but you can see some simple van life recipes. ???How many of you grew up eating this??? Bologna sandwiches! When I was growing up it consisted of white bread, a piece of cold bologna and some ketchup and mustard. That was lunch almost every day for years and years lol. I mentioned to brother Tupos that I hadn't had bologna in so many years and he found a package of the beef kind marked way down so we had some hearty meals from it. (I grew up with the cheap chicken / pork kind so this was a big step up:-) It was a nice treat and we had some big smiles over it and I thought that some of you, coming from our era might as well. I was in the store doing a witness walk (the gospel went out to a man that commented on my scripture bag) and before I left I went to buy a cob of corn and some women of the store were yelling over to me to come get some samples. I said I'd be right there, checked out and had a bunch of gospel cards in my hands. They pushed a bunch of samples on me (trying to promote them or something and a celebration of the opening) and they all received gospel cards and warnings about the deception in the end times. I've been wanting to find some sort of sunflower to add to my memory shelf as I think they're so vibrant, full of life and I have a lot of memories of them when we were out west. The other day, after a little celebration brother Tupos and I had, I found that one laying in the parking lot as we were walking through. It brings me smiles and I pray for all those people we knew and witnessed to out west when I look at it. The Lord keeps us really busy out here but this is all a glimpse into my life doing many of the same things you are, in somewhat different ways. The Lord be glorified in our lives as we live them for Him. Keep doing your good works which are pleasing unto the Lord.
