To the glory of God, we're still out here on the streets lifting up Christ, preaching the gospel, loving our neighbor with the truth as we travel down the gospel road. As a godly woman, my duties go along with me wherever we go so I share some glimpses into what goes on in this mobile life which is very similar to yours I'm sure. Test yourself to the biblical gospel HERE as that is the most important. Cute lil birds taking a dust bath. We were out on the streets flying gospel signs and before we left I whipped up some rice and beans. I had precooked the rice early in the morning and put it in the cooler for later. At lunch time I warmed it up, dumped in a can of seasoned beans (on sale:) and added some fresh tomatoes and peppers with some Parmesan on top. We sat on the bench alongside the busy highway where we were parked, and enjoyed a hearty lunch. Before all that, something happened to the plants. We had one set up on the dash of the van to get sun while flying gospel signs and it fell off and some dirt fell out. I fixed them best I could and figured I'd get a small bag of potting soil at some point. After flying gospel signs, before I cooked the rice and beans, I saw we were parked by a hardware store. I went in and asked if they sold really small bags and they didn't but the older man got a broken bag (said he saves for just such things) and he gave me a bag full (I tried to pay him but he wouldn't have it) but he did take a gospel card and got some truth. During one of my recent new plantings of basil, I decided to thin some and spread them out into some open space. I could have removed the entire clump and tried to separate some off but I just took a couple of the smallest ones, plucked them right out of the dirt and transplanted them. They only had 2 little tiny nubs of roots and I pinched off some of the big leaves and after a couple days they're taking root and getting stronger. I was thinking how when we (saints) get weak and get plucked out of our 'regular' life and tossed into something else, how fast do we re-root ourselves so we can regain our focus on the Lord. Something to think about. Surprisingly, our little garden is really flourishing. Let us women be the same, flourishing for the Lord! This soft metal for plant ties is a good idea for staking big plants in your garden but it's also great for wrapping up cords, which is what I'm using it for. Stopped a a blueberry stand and saw some women working in the kitchen making pies. (Bought a blueberry donut and I got to witness to the young women running the store. ) I saw this beautiful butterfly laying dead on the sidewalk. It reminds you how fast, in an instant, we can die....and are we ready? There are no more chances after death, it's so final. I did a couple more posts on washing up in van life on some wipes I tried, you can see them HERE if you're interested and you can find a simple idea for emergency wipe kits for out on the streets or whatever use HERE:-) Brother Tupos has a bad ear and it's on the side by me when we drive so we found a way to make sure he could hear me.... Click the picture above to see my little amplifier that I sometimes use in the streets to preach the gospel but use every day in the van now. Beautiful flower creations. Alabado sea Dios! Picture glimpses..... I hope this encouraged you, seeing the works of a godly woman serving the Lord and I hope you are doing the same. Proverbs 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. Peace, joy and love in Christ, Sister Aman Comments are closed.
