The Lord has allowed us to continue on our gospel preaching journey around the country in our little van home so I share some insights into what goes on out here in regards to a godly woman's works, as well as giving God glory for His amazing creation. Test yourself to the biblical gospel HERE and make sure you're not deceived with a false gospel. As I do these posts, I simply add to it here and there and over time build up enough to post so some of this is from last month yet and some recent but it's all still good works and thoughts for the Lord. Click the picture below of my gospel sign and see a video of how it adjusts and collapses so we can store it. I have a new addition to the top but we'll do a separate video on that in the future. We were on a busy corner, preaching the gospel to people walking by to an event and a LONG ways away I saw this flash of bright orange so I zoomed in and took a picture. It was a woman in an orange dress and I was thinking, color matters and thought this would be a good illustration for us all to carefully consider what colors we wear. Scripture teaches women to not adorn themselves and most women think that means just not having any patterns or shiny, sparkly materials etc. This picture proves that color matters doesn't it? Something to consider as you go about clothing what is to be the temple of the Holy Spirit and how do we want to clothe it? As we talk about colors, I hope I never gave the impression that there are only certain colors that saints can wear and there's liberty on those as we've always taught. Some people might only wear certain colors as they feel convicted on those, others might wear many different colors, some people are convicted about the cultures perception of colors etc. We just want to keep 1 Timothy 2 in mind as we dress the temple of the holy Spirit. 1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array I've had women reach out and accuse me of teaching that women need to wear long sleeves (only because I used picture examples of long sleeves) and certain colors. Can someone wear pink or purple or red or blue or yellow? God created the colors and there's no sin in them, all we have tried to do is teach people to be careful to avoid the super bright flashy colors, like that bright orange dress. I know I always wear blue shirts and that's because it's mostly what I find but other colors are acceptable as well. I like lighter colors for warm weather (being careful that you can't see through them) and darker colors for cooler weather. Just my thoughts on the matter and we can use this for general reference on the topic... Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. We've been writing scriptures and messages on our van windows and we get to change the message every day (when it doesn't rain). I've been putting Spanish on the big door as we encounter Mexican people all over. The Lord has blessed me to be able to use what I've learned to witness as well. Every night, I get to clean the windows, which I like doing, it's satisfying:-) It's easy cuz water takes it off and a few swipes and it's clean, ready for a new message the next day. Deuteronomy 11:18-20 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. [19] And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. [20] And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: Here's a blast from the past as an example of what we've done on our old van.... Being zealous for good works unto the Lord. I hope you're zealous in all you do as well! Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. A typical view as we go down the gospel road. Some places are more peaceful to travel through and a lot are like a concrete jungle with people all over, cars flying past.... I've been pondering how there will be a new heaven and new earth and Satan will no longer be the god of this world. Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. It was a rainy Sunday so we couldn't stand out at a church so we went to the marketplace. All those people could see the gospel signs on the van at the extra busy drive through and we were on the inside ready to help anyone seeking. (brother Tupos made this video for brother.) Click the picture below for a smoothie recipe from our van life brother in the Lord. Apple pumpkin smoothie, yum:-) Click the next picture to see a recipe on refrigerator pickles. Giving God glory for His amazing creation and thankful for our daily bread and clean raiment. Hopefully that's somewhat edifying to you, knowing a godly woman is out here in the world striving for the Lord FOR HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED! Love, peace and joy to you in the name of Christ, Sister Aman Comments are closed.
