Titus 2 / Proverbs 31 Encouragement

Joshua 24:14-15 
Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

The Lord is so merciful to allow us more days to serve Him and for me to come back and share a bit more Titus 2 / Proverbs 31 encouragement.  We've been in a free country campground for a couple weeks, witnessing to people here and when we go to town as well as working online, studies, van projects etc.  We've had a time of being able to do this:

1 Thessalonians 4:11 
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

We're planning on heading into more of the desert this winter, to share the gospel (test yourself to the gospel HERE) and it'll be a bit different as the towns are scattered and places for us to stay are limited so we'll be frequenting some more of these type free campgrounds and coming across travelers from all over the country and the world that we can share the truth with.  We're in the wilderness as I type this and will be more, Lord willing, preaching the gospel.

In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

I share here, some glimpses into my world as a godly woman, doing my woman works, glorifying the Lord who is worthy to be praised.

After some thought and reasoning if it would be a good addition to my kitchen work, I decided (and hermano Tupos did too) to buy a little air fryer (which was very reasonably priced).  I've used it for various cooking and am thankful for it thus far so I plan to share more on it as I get used to it. 

As we go through the desert areas, staying in places that are outside of towns, we've decided to downsize our cooler so we can get along for some days without ice in it.  I thought I'd share with you that you don't need to keep ketchup or mustard in the cooler / refrigerator and that they are shelf stable.  You see the mayonnaise there too?  I did some research and that particular bottle and brand allow the mayo to be shelf stable for about a month and a half. Apparently they designed the bottle to make it shelf stable for restaurants, keeping the air out and the ingredients safe at room temperature.  Just a tip for you.  (Yes it's a bit more expensive but we don't use large amounts of mayo in a month so it works out well for us.) 

This particular campground has water but I filter it and thought I'd share with you that I've found it to be better to spend the extra money on the good filters ($2.50 more per filter) than to buy the cheaper ones and have them stop working shortly after a few gallons. Sometimes you get what you pay for. 

I had a few sweet potatoes and one of them got hidden under something and when I found it, it was sprouting.  I thought those of you who garden would appreciate that.  Amazing creations of the Lord!  In the spring, Lord willing, I might have another little van garden but we shall see.

Galatians 6:7 
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

I ponder that verse when it comes to gardens because if you tomato seeds you reap tomatoes, you sow bean seeds you reap beans and that's the physical, how much more the spiritual.  If we sow that which is good, righteous and just in the sight of the Lord, this we shall reap!

I have a lot of these little dividers in my 2 drawers and instead of trying to get the time to take them all out and clean them, I take one here and one there and over time they all get done.  I used to overwhelm myself and not be satisfied until I started and completed a whole project (like an entire closet or dresser or even a whole room) but over time I've learned to let that go and do what I can, when I can and call it good, being thankful and content. We women can really put a burden on ourselves and it can leak over into others in our household if we're not careful. 

Luke 10:40-42 
But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

We got some sliced peperoncini and banana peppers on discount and found that we really like them so when I found a jar of whole ones for a great deal, I bought them, sliced them up and mixed with my jar that was almost empty. I've seen them before and never tried them but thankful we did because we really appreciate the zestiness they bring to a meal, especially on sandwiches or roll ups.  I never cease marveling at all the different foods that Lord has created and I'm thankful for it all. ​

1 Corinthians 10:31 
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

I try to make it a habit that when I need to sharpen one knife, I do them all.  I used to try to sharpen them right after I used them but I'm usually busy cooking so now I just do it that way and it works out well. It's good to have some habits that work for each situation.
