I found this mug.... .50 cents at a thrift store and the gospel went out! I appreciate the scripture mugs we have (a few of them) as they are another way to keep our mind set on the Lord and not over focused on what needs to be done in our day as we travel down the gospel road, preaching the gospel which you can find HERE. In between, I also snap some pics and share thoughts on Titus 2 / Proverbs 31 that goes on while we go about our lives. We were in a town and I found a small Mexican grocery store not far from where we were parking (working online ministry) so I walked there to give out the gospel (which I did) and as a bonus I bought one of their sweet breads. I was able to practice a bit of Spanish and it encouraged me to keep working on it as we love our neighbors and if we have the opportunity to reach into another culture that's in our back yard, why wouldn't we? Marcos 16:15 Y les dijo: Id por todo el mundo y predicad el evangelio a toda criatura. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. I've been seeing a lot of these smiley faces lately and they do make me smile but yet it makes me a bit sad as sometimes I see more of those stickers than I see smiling people's faces and we know Jesus said this: And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matthew 24:12 ...and it's certainly true, the love and kindness and thoughtfulness for neighbors in this society is waxing cold as iniquity abounds, which is sad for the glory of God is stolen from those who ignore Him. I saw those washers and dryers at a truck stop and thought it was a great blessing for travelers. I didn't use them as I wanted to keep them available for truckers who have a harder time finding places to park their big trucks and wash their clothes. We parked in a downtown area to look at the map before finding a place to fly gospel signs and by my window were these flowers. I was looking at the dead ones and thought about how, in their declining age, they're producing seeds to grow new flowers. That's a great example of 'doesn't nature teach us' that even as godly women get older and lose youth and vibrancy, we should be matured into producing many seeds of faith to help grow those who are coming behind us. If you're truly a blood bought saint of God, striving in obedience....make sure you're a diligent seed sower... And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; Matthew 13:3 I was blessed to find a lot of discount summer squash (zucchini / yellow) and peppers so I whipped up a simple meal...we eat what's on sale and save a lot that way. Many people pick what they want to eat and then buy the ingredients ending up spending a lot more money than needed. I encourage women to eat what's on sale and cook accordingly to be the most frugal and appreciative of the resources the Lord has provided. Remember that all the food we eat will be purged out and you know what that means so why would we spend a lot of money on something that will end up in the draught? Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? Mark 7:19 (That verse in context is something different, I'm using it to prove where 'meat'send up and why we shouldn't make a bid deal of food.) See another simple recipe by clicking the picture below. Speaking of sales....I have an app of a gas station that is popular in a few states and they offer specials on their products (they are like a mini grocery / convenience store), coupons and bonus points per visit. We were blessed with that little steak and 2 small potatoes for .15 cents. Some apps aren't worth the time so do your research and you might find some that work for you. We stopped at a discount store and saw all these bins of clothing just randomly tossed in the boxes for people to dig through.... ...it reminded me of some people I used to know (before I was born again in Christ) that had messy houses and they constantly had to dig to find things. Just a good reminder to godly women that God is a God of order and although the saying 'cleanliness is next to godliness' is not a biblical saying, it is good to have order in the home lest it all becomes confusion. Laziness is a sin so let's all be careful not to fall into such a trap. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-11 I was in the dollar tree store where everything used to be $1 and they upped the price to $1.25 (now they are going higher) and I explain that, to paint the picture that it's a low end store and there's nothing wrong with it but it's not a high end, expensive, top quality store. In it, I saw this sparkling spring water and the word 'exquisite' stood out to me. I found it contradictory to the culture as the word 'exquisite' normally refers to something of top quality, high value and expensive and this store is not that and the products are not (according to culture anyway but we find them just find for the price). It made me think of how marketing and branding / imaging can influence people to buy things they might normally not buy. That goes along with churchianity that uses marketing / branding / imaging to influence people to buy into the lies and heresies they offer, because they're packaged with smooth words and faith speeches. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. Romans 16:18 Do you see the opposites in that picture above? Beautiful flower creation from God and next to it a cigarette disposal container of man. I was thinking how godly women need to stand, grow and blossom in this wicked world, right next to satan's inventions of man, not being spotted by them but radiating the light and truth of Christ...showing the way. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world Philippians 2:15 Brother Tupos bought a couple new tires for the van and since our van is high, some places don't have the capabilities to pull it in the shop so he had to do a lot of tire work himself. We parked by the tire place, he took off 2 back tires, rolled them into the shop for new tires and then rolled them back to the van. With one jack he had a lot of jacking up and down to rotate them but he got the job done, saving us a lot of money on labor if someone else had to do it. We're thankful for good tires to keep us rolling down the gospel road. One thing brother Tupos doesn't skimp on is tires because they are so important and it made me think about the faith of a saint and how we have to be careful not to skimp on any aspect of truth lest it blow us out of control and into massive destruction. Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 1 Timothy 1:19 If you want to see a video of a Chestnut tree and what they look like when broken open, click the picture below and you'll go to the children's page. I don't add a lot there but every once in a while I try to put in pictures or videos that parents can use to show their children and talk about the Lord and His awesome creation. More glimpses into my godly works out here in van life on the gospel road. Comments are closed.
