Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Life out here on the gospel road is different than living in a house that doesn't need to be moved every day and is bigger than a vehicle but I, as a godly woman, still have many godly women works to do. Here I share random glimpses into some of them, maybe to be an encouragement to you as all our works, as godly women, are done unto the Lord. Are you a godly woman? Test yourself HERE to the biblical gospel as many people are deceived and think they are but they've been born into a false gospel, I hope that's not you. We're in a climate where the weather is often too cool or cloudy / drizzly for hand washing and hang drying clothes so we go to the laundromat. What an awesome blessing that I'm so thankful for. I can get all our laundry in one load which ranges from $2.50-$4 per washer, depending on the prices and I love it when the dryers are .25 cents = 5-8 minutes because I can then just add what I need. I really don't like to use dryers because they're not good for the life of clothes but since I can't hang dry all the time, I'm thankful for them:-) I don't over dry so if there are a few that are just damp, they eventually dry in the van. I'll share some of my godly women's work in the kitchen:-) ( Click the picture above or HERE to see a post about an awesome produce store we stopped at.) I'm always on the lookout for discount stores (like that produce store I found) and Aldi is one of them that I appreciate a lot but they aren't all over so when I get to go in one, I'm really thankful. I found some discount meatballs for .49 cents which made 2 very generous meals for both brother Tupos and I. I also had a bag of pasta for .50 cents (that made 2 meals) and some individual pasta sauces for .75 cents that made 2 meals:) 2 hearty meatball and pasta meals for a total of $1.74. We really appreciated those that all after being on the streets. Brother Tupos saw this bread :-) We take witness walks through stores, him flying his signs on his scripture stick and me flying my gospel bag....Christ and His truth being lifted up wherever we go. We were witness walking through a store and when I was about to leave, I glanced at these trays of veggies. I was walking away when a woman behind me, called out and asked if I knew what that one in the middle was (circled in the pic). I looked at the ingredients and told her it said chayote squash and said I had no clue what that was but it probably was something that went well with the other ingredients. I gave her a gospel card and she was smiling, thanking me and then she turned to talk to a worker that walked up and the worker smiled and said 'I got one of those too! (I gave her a gospel card earlier.) Brother Tupos was a great shopper and found some ground turkey and a pumpkin pie at incredible deals so after our travels to our destination for the evening, we went to a park and had a picnic. (Everything we had was found on discount:) I have a question.... What does a woman need one of those for? Looks to me like a laziness enabler, really. I've had rooms with carpets and wood floors and neither takes that long to vacuum or sweep on a regular basis. It's not sinful to have one but I caution you women, be careful getting all the gadgets that are offered lest you be like the rich man that had much in material possession and was more entwined with that then the Lord and His truth. Mark 10:22-23 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! This could be a good example of a godly woman's life.... ....going, going, going, busy, busy, busy..... Remember to slow down and simplify what you can in your womanly duties so that you don't get swept away and not focus on what's important. Some will have much more to be busy in than others but even free time can become a distraction from the Lord if not used rightly for Him. Here's an example of what women don't want to do (in context the young widows but good example for all.) 1 Timothy 5:13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. I pray that all the sisters around the world are doing their godly works unto the Lord, cheerfully, thankfully and in contentment.
Love to you all, Sister Aman Comments are closed.
