Proverbs 31:25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. The calling for a godly woman includes taking care of the home and the people within it so I'll share bits and pieces of my life out here on the gospel road, doing my Titus 2 / Proverbs 31 duties for encouragement. I saw that book in a thrift store and thought about how complete soup and bread meals are. Simple, inexpensive and one of my favorite meals to make. I can't bake bread on the road and my soups are extremely simplified or canned but good none the less. I used to have a LOT of cookbooks and although not sinful, can be a big distraction just the same as online recipes can take you all over the place if you're not careful. Just a friendly warning to not get swept away with such things lest you lose your focus on the Lord. Mark 4:18-19 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, [19] And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. I saw this in a thrift store... Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. It makes me think of this.... Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. As we travel, we stop at thrift stores along the way and I'm always on the lookout for biblical shirts and skirts, both of which can be difficult to find and when you do, the life of the fabric can be already used quite a bit so the clothes bought don't always last that long. It's a never ending cycle but one that give occasion to learn patience, thankfulness and being content. I like to have paper plates and disposable cups on hand in case I'm blessed to be able to use them for someone who might be hungry along our travels. I also like to use paper plates for certain things that might be really messy and harder to clean in van life. I saw those in a store and thought they were cute as we are in an area that has a different culture that loves tacos and their donuts / sweets with food trucks all over. I see massive amounts of these in all the stores.... Brother Tupos and I appreciate the simple Mexican foods (always have) and their basics can make many different types of meals. (Rice, beans, tortillas -soft or hard, meat, cheese, salsa etc...) It's been cold and rainy and WINDY so the past couple days our gospel signs have not left their spot (being stored on the ceiling:-) but soon, Lord willing they will come out again. The ones on the van are almost always out, shining the light and truth as well as brother Tupos scripture stick and my gospel shopping bag. Just today, a Spanish man came over and said he liked what my bag said. "Repent Obey Jesus". He walked away with a gospel card and encouragement to test himself and be warned about the churches. The wind and rain cleared up with warmer weather coming. Speaking of warmer weather coming...here's my annual post on seeds and encouragement to those of you who are gardening:-) Keep it simple, keep it manageable and keep growing what grows and stop trying to grow that which doesn't grow in your area. We see a lot of different cactus growing here lol and people eat certain parts of them. Pretty amazing creation from our Father who created all things. Just some encouragement for godly women to keep doing what pleases the Lord in all the duties women are to do.
