Greetings in Christ to my Titus 2 Sisters who love Him!
I just wanted to share a quick tip (that many of you might already know) about a couple products that are good for sunburns dry skin. Brother Tupos and I were out on the streets preaching the GOSPEL for a few days in a row and we both got sunburns on our faces. I had this aloe so we put that on and it really helped heal and then when the skin peeled I used that scrub to help it come off, applying aloe afterwards. That scrub is inexpensive and a great buffer to remove dead skin so I use it on my feet as well, or anywhere really, and it feels so smooth afterwards. (Small price to pay for lost souls to get the truth and for God to be glorified.) Just a couple tips in case you didn't know and if you did, let us all rejoice in what the Lord has made to allow us to heal ourselves. Have a joyous evening. Sister Aman Greetings sister saints! I just thought I'd share a Titus 2 day in van life! I do the same things you all do except I have to do it in different ways and all depending on where we are, what's going on and sometimes doing more on one day than the next. This morning I found a great deal on eggs at a discount grocery store. Then we were blessed with a gas station that had a water spout for travelers so I washed clothes by the van, on the side of the parking lot, away from everyone going about their business. Brother James worked on filling up our hand wash station and making sure I had the water I needed. We then went to a park to hang them on the van to dry and what a day it was for it (windy, sunny and warm). After a yummy sweet potato lunch..... ...I walked to a thrift store down the road while the clothes dried. The park we were at offers power so once I got back I decided to cook up some food. Van life doesn't offer the opportunity to cook a lot of different things at once, in fact I usually can only cook one thing at a time so we keep our meals extremely simple which is a blessing in many ways....BUT it's a nice treat to have things cooked up ahead of time to just rewarm them when needed. I boiled up some of the eggs I got this morning and while cooling them off in ice water.... ...I boiled some water and tossed in some thawed broccoli and cauliflower. When that was done, I scooped out the veggies and added pasta in the same water. While the pasta cooked I peeled the eggs, saving the ice water for cooling off the pasta. After cooling off the pasta I cooked up some chicken meat balls we found at the same discount store that I found the eggs. Being at the park with the big tables was such a blessing because I wouldn't normally do all that in the van all at once like this. The wind helped cool things off before I stored them in the cooler, what a blessing. In between it all, we charged up some batteries, I dug out some more supplies from the storage under the bed and read some women's audio bible readings for the website and worked on sewing another tunic for a brother. Van life can be challenging in many ways but over the years, we've gotten used to it and just go along with what the day brings, being super thankful for blessings of days like this! Why am I sharing this with you? Well, it shows an example of a frugal godly Titus 2 woman who loves the Lord, using resources wisely, working hard, taking care of my household, working the ministry I have and doing it all joyfully and thankfully unto the Lord. 2 Peter 3:9-14 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. We're not here to just live our lives for ourselves, there are many works for us godly woman to do and in doing them, we glorify our Father which is in heaven. 1 Peter 2:11-12 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. Love to you all,
Sister Deb Here's just a simple video doing my Titus 2 duties of cooking dinner. What a blessing to be able to bless others with nourishing foods from what the Father provides. Praise the Lord let us rejoice and be thankful. 1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. |
