Here are some videos of little calves (baby cows) and in one of them you will see one being fed. God created animals and we people are to take care of the ones that we have in our lives. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26 That means feeding and watering and taking care of what they might need in order for them to do what you have them for. Maybe you have animals in your lives that need taking care of and your parents have given you some chores in helping. Are you obedient and do what you are asked and expected or do you give your parents a hard time about it or not do what you are supposed to? If you don't help then the animal is the one that suffers for your disobedience. Your parents are also suffering for your disobedience because they have to deal with you and potentially punish you for it. We don't want that do we? We want to be pleasing to God so we should do what we are asked to do. Let us give thanks to God for all that He has given us in our lives! Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. Psalm 30:4 I hope that encourages you to be thankful for all things and to be a good helper in your family :-) Good day to you all! We saw these ants and they made me think of a teaching for you. God's word, the Bible, teaches that children are to obey their parents.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Ephesians 6:1 So, how can these ants teach us a lesson on obeying our parents? They are going about doing what God created and commanded them to do, just like children are to obey the commands of their parents. We also see that ants are not lazy, they are busy about their works. Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. Proverbs 6:6-8 Let me explain that a bit for you so you can understand. It means that we are not to be lazy and we should learn from the ants how they keep busy. They don't even have someone to guide or lead them by instructing them on what to do (like you have parents who do that for you), and they keep working hard storing up their foods. That is a good example for us don't you think? Remember this, when your parents give you instructions on chores you need to be doing as part of the household, you need to obey (because God said so) and be serious about doing them. This is pleasing to God. We saw these ducks coming toward us and we sat quietly while they floated in and the turned around and left. It was so peaceful to see them quietly doing what God has created them to do. Do you do what you are supposed to do? We are to love God. Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. We who love God, keep His commands and one of those is obeying parents. Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Are you loving God and obeying your parents? It's summer time and the bees that God made are busy working on all the flowers. You can see how all the bees are doing just what God created them to do. Think about that as your parents ask to do things, you should too, be like the bees and be busy doing what you are supposed to be doing. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Colossians 3:20 And here are a couple insects:-) And a little spider. |
