Hello sister saints! I made an audio about our day, you can listen to it by clicking the button below. And I thought I'd share some of the videos from the day. You can see them all HERE if you want, but I will include the ones on feminism below with pride and vanity, unbiblical tongues talking, a woman taking charge over her husband and a woman trying to rebuke / correct a a man (brother Tupos). Those are examples of what a godly woman is not. Do you see why I say that just our lives being obedient can be a great witness? See a comparison of what a godly woman looks like vs the pride and vanity and harlotry looking women (that I used to be). The picture I used below is one from a different event. And I share with you the blessing of giving that young woman a gospel card and I hope seeds are planted. By the grace and power of God, we sister saints keep shining our light all over the world. 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. I hope your day goes along well today, keeping your eyes on the Lord and submitting your will to Him. Sister Aman with brother Tupos And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever. Exodus 21:5-6 When I look back at the Old Testament and the things they had to do or voluntarily did, it makes our life today look so easy in comparison. That verse is talking about a loyalty to his master and he's willing to have his ear pierced with an aul as a marker of it (of course we don't do that today to the temple of the Holy Spirit.) Then I think of many women we've met that claim His name, left the culture and say they want to obey Him in all the ways yet they let pride and vanity get in the way because they won't even dress or cover their temple the way the Lord commands. Let us be examples to those watching... He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. John 12:25-26 Speaking of dying to self, I made a sister sharing audio that includes a similar topic (and some others) if you're interested.
The picture above is from the sister I talked about in the audio who said someone offered her husband a kidney. She said he picked that rose for her before he died and she put the scriptures with it. That picture can be a remembrance of life or death and we all know that we are to focus on life, from Christ, and keep moving on, letting the past stay in the past and the future be whatever is the Lord's will. That sister is a great encouragement and she has seen the Lord protect her heart and give her strength to continue on in joy and peace. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 Here are those birds I talked about in the video :-) Brother James and I are so thankful to see God's creation as we go about this van life and oftentimes in the parking lots are where we see the most interesting things! We had a super busy weekend out on the streets at a busy parade and then along a busy tourist shopping street and then at a couple churches. You can see the latest videos HERE and many others from when we were on the streets preaching the gospel. Brother James and I made a video on they way to one church... The Lord is glorified when saints stand on and defend the truth. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. Jude 1:3 On our way to stand for the truth against those synogogues of satan, I saw those porches and thought about how nice they would be, filled with the saints of God! Some day heaven will be filled with us all, if we overcome to the end. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Revelation 2:17 That's one sign I will be using this month to bring awareness to their blasphemous, pagan holiday. It was effective because I had a couple really good conversations with some women who were wondering why it was a lie. (I'll still be using my 'Fear God Repent' sign also.) I saw these children's books as I was walking through the store and thought I'd share some thoughts on them... It seems so innocent to have bears talking about praying for each other but is that something we should be teaching children? That bears talk and can pray to a holy God? Something to think about... Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. Proverbs 22:15 What about this one? * They call it a big 'story'. * They show nakedness. * They reduce God's precious word to 5 minutes. Things to think about... Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. Proverbs 20:11 And this one. It teaches boys that they just need a 'little' God time. And since when is the word of God for just boys...or just girls for that matter? Think about it... And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 6:7 A little Titus 2 Time.... I'd cook you some dinner if I could! I leave you with a glimpse of God's beautiful creation we saw as we were leaving the town we spent time witnessing in. I'm thankful to be a daughter of the most High and share it with other sisters who love Him also.
Love to you all, in His mighty Name, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, Immanuel, Savior Shepherd and many more wonderful and awesome names that can't describe Him. Sister Deb Hello sisters! The Lord was gracious and let us all come together here again. We've had a busy day in many ways and thankful to do the Lord's work. I made a quick video to encourage us cuz I love sharing with my sisters who love the Lord because He first loved us! We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19 And let's read on... If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. 1 John 4:20-21 If we love God and we have fruit (evidence) to show it, loving the brethren would have fruits of evidence also. Amen? That's why we sister saints should encourage one another every single day, showing we have true godly love.
Rest well sister saints and let's see if the Lord gives us another day. Sister Deb Good day sister saints! That picture above is one a sister sent a few days ago and with it text that scripture. I put it on the picture and returned it to her and thought I'd share it here for you also. She said that's from the mountain range close to where they live, way up north in another country. I'm blessed to know sister saints all over the world that love the Lord, are obedient to all His word, willingly do all the things godly women do without complaining (headcover, dress biblical, not be feminists) and love the other sisters in return (and the brethren as a whole.) I thought I'd just share some random pictures and thoughts of our time lately and maybe something from within it all might encourage you! I'd make you a cup of coffee or tea or something while we talk about all sorts of good and godly things that sister saints do. Speaking of coffee, some people call it the "Christian drug" because it has caffeine in it. I'll start off on that by saying we drink instant now and use both regular and decaf, my servings are light and it lasts a long time so first off we are frugal in that. Next, we drink very little in the way of caffeine but there are times it's like a medicine especially for me. Third, caffeine is not sinful unless, like anything, it's abused. People can abuse food by eating too much. Sugar by having too much. Rest by having too much. See my point? Anyway, I'm not sure if I ever shared anything on caffeine before and me just say this....every single person that has said that to us is not living a biblical, holy life. Just sayin. As we travel the southeast part of the country, we've been seeing a lot of these such signs and even smaller ones put about 10-15 feet high on telephone poles that call out repentance and faith in Christ. (Wondering how they got them up that high.) I hope the people putting them up are striving in all truth. The saddest thing about it is that in this day with technology, there's no website or contact info; there's no way to reach out if someone wanted more help in it all. That sign above, would have done absolutely NOTHING for me in that suicidal state I was in before Christ. I NEEDED THE GOSPEL! (You can find that HERE and let us know how we can help you if you're confused.) The bible doesn't just say proclaim the gospel....we're to do something after that if someone is seeking... Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20 Speaking of the gospel....we know a sister who's husband just died and her grown children wanted to do all the things the world does when that happens and she wanted nothing to do with it all. Since she was not going to be partaking of worldly events, she wanted to still be faithful and share the truth (none of her family claim to be born again saints). She took 2 tea cups and filled them with gospel cards and set them out. We rejoice in her faithfulness and we know one card was taken as she counted them before and after. That might seem disappointing to some, thinking that only one was taken, but we know how precious 'one' is. What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? Luke 15:4 We were on the streets the past couple days and many gospel cards were taken but even in that...if only one person is affected then we rejoice. No matter what people do with it, God is glorified when we are obedient in sharing it and I'm thankful for sisters who are diligent about that. As I'm working on this post, another sister sent a picture of the gospel going out on a shop order she's sending off today! And a new sister mentioned the other day how we are great examples and encouragement which makes her want to be sharing the gospel also! Praise God for obedient sisters who love the Lord! The picture of yogurt is evidence of another way the gospel can go out. I went into the store to wander around and see if there would be any witnessing to do and I saw an incredible deal on yogurt. I couldn't believe it so I saw a store worker in the freezer section behind me and asked him if he could verify it. He did and then walked off to finish stocking the freezer. I got my yogurt, walked back over to him, thanked him for his help again and gave him a gospel card as as I was walking away I saw him standing in the door of the freezer reading it. You can do that also sisters, ask for the location of an item, verify pricing, thank the workers for doing a good job and give them the gospel. Sometimes they want to talk and most times they receive it and continue working. As I'm typing this, I remembered a woman from yesterday, who wanted a gospel card. We were at a busy festival proclaiming the gospel and I had just given out a gospel card to someone, turned to her and asked if she wanted one. She said "Oh yeah I do! Can you put it in my pocket for me?" (Her hands were full of festival food.) I had troubles holding my sign and moving her purse strap out of the way to do it and it took a bit of work on my behalf but while I was doing it, I said 'The word must be very important to you otherwise we wouldn't be going through this'. She said 'Oh it is, it is'. I said 'Good, test yourself and go deeper than man made religion is teaching you.' She heartily thanked me and off she went with a gospel card tucked into her pocket. In van life, with limited space, we have to slide our signs in and out a small space which means they rub on each other and oftentimes need some freshening up, which is what we do before we go out. (I like that job:-) And see those zip ties? Brother James just bought me my very own pack of them so I can strap my sign to my walking stick when we go out. What a great witnessing tool, a gospel sign. We have them all over the van too and know a brother that just ordered some for his vehicle! There are so many ways to lift up Christ's name! As we talk about lifting up Christ's name and what He has done, and what the world can do to gain eternal life through the gospel, we will suffer persecution because of it. (Thank you sister for that scripture verse.) That picture above has one of my favorite verses on it. It's hard hitting, blunt and we have no other course than to obey it. That goes for living in our weakened physical state also. Shed the flesh, get over it, get up and get going. We can lay around and moan about how hard things are, or our ailments or the mental or physical pain someone caused or we can get up and do our reasonable service unto the Lord, enduring that hardness as a good soldier. I love seeing how nature teaches us and that tree above has had to endure hardness of hurricanes and tropical storms that have blasted the coast line throughout the years. It's standing strong and mighty year after year until it's time is over. Us saints have our time coming if we endure only we have a great promise ahead of us, unlike the tree which will just turn to dust in it's death. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:55-58 Persecution in His name might lead to jail time for some sisters like those in the past and some in foreign countries. It's coming to the free countries soon, the end times must be brought in for Christ to return. That picture made me think of sisters in jail with nothing taking away their joy. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39 Brother James jumper box came to good use for the gospel and to help someone again! He saw a car hood open and went over to see if the person needed help. A woman was there and said her husband just went into the store to buy some jumper cables so brother James went in quickly to catch him. The man was just about to buy them when brother James told him he had a jumper box and would help him. The man was relieved because he had cables at home and didn't need another set. After it was all done, the gospel went out. That's a good tool to have because it's helped many people...they see us loving our neighbor and the truth gets given to them. That jumper box would do nothing for these vehicles we saw on our travels, but the gospel given to the owners could save souls. Unfortunately we couldn't do anything about any of that but we do it ahead of time with all those we meet along the way. Be sure to do that in your lives sister saints...each soul is precious and needs that life saving truth. While we were at a tourist pier preaching the gospel the other day, I walked out on it, took some pictures and talked to the people along the way. None wanted a gospel card but I did get to talk to that one woman sitting there and give her some truth. I wanted to share this video with you of a really high and long bridge we went over and the video doesn't capture the awesomeness of God's creation. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8 Seeing all the salt and brackish back water here on the coast makes me so thankful for the fresh water we can find on the road. A sister from across the world sent this picture of a water fountain because she knows we rejoice greatly when we find water on the road. What great blessings we are to be thankful for and not take for granted. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is Psalm 63:1 I thought that van and camper was cute, we notice such things out here on the road living in a van. We would have reached out to witness to them if they had stopped by us but it wasn't to be. We did have our signs on the van so they, and others saw so we did our best. (Yes, we get a lot of opportunities to witness to other van/camper/car dwellers as it's a good door opener.) Speaking of doors, lol, I thought you sisters might appreciate this picture. The moss, the old bricks and the cozy looking area would be a good place to sit and rejoice in the Lord. And since it's on the street of a downtown, it would be great to hand out gospel cards to anyone passing by:-) A little Titus 2 Time. When I was in the store buying that yogurt, I walked through the produce section and saw these dragon fruit. What unique creation (that I have no clue what they taste like as they are expensive.) And one more picture cuz I thought it was cute. (Nice way to use recycled materials.) Anyway sisters I have to go now. I hope you were edified and Lord willing I will be back again to share whatever might be encouraging to us all. Hold fast and let us all glorify the Lord in our lives. Sister Deb Good evening sister saints! I hope you were rejoicing in the Lord today, no matter what went on. We had safe travels and headed into some busier areas. On that note, we made an audio called 'Caring and Sharing' to encourage us all. (click the button below to hear it.) Let us all rejoice to kill our flesh for the Lord! I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2 It's just our reasonable service to do the works of the Lord... we should be rejoicing to be counted worthy to sacrifice our flesh for Him and we're only doing what He's already done! When we got to our destination, we saw a LOT of beggars lined up along the roads and corners. (There's super highways through this town so they congregate in such places.) We gave out several beggar food bags while we were stopped at lights and of course the gospel goes with and if the light stays red, brother James preaches the gospel to them. (It's not always feasible to stop and talk so we do the best we can.) We just do our reasonable service by loving our neighbor that might need food and giving the most precious gift, the GOSPEL. I came across that older picture brother James drew and it's so true. Regardless of whether the beggars should get a job or whatever their sins are, most are more receptive of the gospel and polite about listening than the church goers. Just today I gave a gospel card to the check out woman and she took it, looked at it and said "I'm saved! But my flesh is weak". I said "The flesh is weak but we can overcome with His power. Test yourself and go deeper in the scriptures and obey". She turned to help the next customer and as I was walking to the door I heard her say to me- loudly.... "Most of us aren't going to make even though we try!!" I said back to her "Many are called but few are chosen, let me know if I can help you!" She said "He's going to separate the wheat from the chaff, yep that what He gonna do!!!" I said "That's right He is!" I walked out shaking my head thinking...how can someone know all that and not work out their salvation with fear and trembling? I don't know the answer to it all but just keep going and being faithful. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Hebrews 6:4-6 We may live in parking lots out here, with cars racing around us, sirens going off, street sweepers at all hours of the late night, people wandering around yelling at themselves and uneven ground to where stuff rolls around on the counter but guess what? We overlook all that for the glory of God and I take great pleasure and immense thankfulness when I get to partake of the Lord's creation all around us. Just saying that in case some of you wonder why I post so much of God's creation, it's because that's what I focus on out here, not the sinful dark world. We love our neighbor by sharing the gospel and then we focus on what we're supposed to... Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8 While I was working on this post, brother James went for a walk. I text him and said to send me pics if he saw anything that I might like to share... I had to go into a store to a drop counter where you can have things shipped, which is a nice thing while on the road and as I walked past the seafood counter I saw these awesome looking fish... A sister and I often think of how Jesus cooked fish for the men... As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. John 21:9 He did so much in so many ways...how can we not want to serve Him 'earnestly' (as a sister said the other day.) I also saw those...another amazing creation. It's endless but yet only a tiny fraction of the greatness of the One who created it all! Brother James needed to replace a part in the van (the package I picked up while gazing at God's creation in the store lol). I'm thankful for a husband that can do such things and keep us rolling down the gospel road! I found a discount carrot cake and would offer some to my sisters if I could :-) I'm thankful for my sisters who are worth more than rubies. I hope your evening is one of peace and joy in Him. Love in Christ, Sister Deb |
