Good morning sister saints!
The Lord blessed us with another day to serve Him. I love a new day because what happened yesterday is gone and we're moving forward to whatever is ahead!
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Today I was walking a few blocks to a store when a woman went through a red light and smashed into another woman. It happened right at the corner I was at and I was able to open doors on both cars to let the air bag (dust or smoke?) out and calm the women down. Once the authorities were on the way and the women were able to make phone calls, I gave them each a gospel card and went around to the bystanders and handed them out as well.
I continued on to the store (which was right by that corner) and there were 3 people standing by their vehicle watching so I crossed the parking lot to walk by them. I stopped and told them what happened and gave them the good news also. God's perfect timing to be at the right place at the right time to offer hope in a dark and dangerous world.
It all made me ponder how fast life can change. I shared with sisters that it can change for good or destruction in a split second and even might cost us our lives...are we prepared?
Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
Are we prepared to meet God?
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
We want a pure heart before the Lord at all times and we need Him to help us have that as our spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
We sisters have been talking about willing hearts.
Is your heart willing to let go of all things / people that the Lord will prune from your life? Willing to stand before the Lord with nothing?
1 Timothy 6:7
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
We want nothing because He is everything!
I hope your day is one that is seeking and searching the Lord....
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Let me know how I can encourage you in the walk of a godly woman.
