Hello sister saints!
I thought I'd share a story with you that just happened and maybe it'll be a blessing and encouragement to someone.
Last night, our parking spot was one we've been before and we know it for having a lot of beggars / homeless wandering around at all hours of the day or night. Well, yesterday a man came over to talk and seemed to be pretty receptive of the gospel brother Tupos shared with him and all the truth along with it. He came back again later, talked more and then said 'What did you have for dinner?' Brother Tupos told him and the man said 'We probably won't be eating dinner tonight because we don't have any food'. After some talking, brother Tupos went in the store and bought them some food, the same kind of foods that he ate for dinner. Simple, inexpensive, easy to prepare....and it made me think of how we are even blameless before the beggars.
What if we wasted our money eating in restaurants or having fancy foods, how would that be if that man asked that question and brother Tupos said 'Oh we went out to eat and had a big steak, baked potato, corn on the cob and a big slice of pie with coffee' ...and then bought him the simple meal he did.
Nope, we eat the same things we give the hungry. And get this....several years ago we met up with a man that claimed Christ and comes from a wealthy family (way more wealth than you can imagine sisters) and we met him in McDonalds, bought him a cup of coffee on discount from my phone app, shared some granola bars that we got from a discount dent & bent store and talked about the things of God.
We are who we are:
* With the rich
* With the poor
* In our private lives
* In public
That's a good way to be blameless isn't it?
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Let us shine our light blamelessly sisters, in all aspects of our life because the Lord is worthy of our best in all situations!
