Greetings to my sisters in the name of the Lord! I was pondering how if we seek the Lord, He will help us but if we seek that of the flesh and darkness, He will help us in that also. I have a few scriptures to share about it. (I just picked a few, feel free to go find more:-) Seeking Him and Truth: James 4:7-8 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Seeking darkness: Exodus 8:15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said. Exodus 7:13-14 And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said. [14] And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go. Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; I don't want to be turned over or have my heart hardened as we see so many in the scriptures and have seen in our ministry. I keep thinking about the absurdity of mankind's rebellion toward God. He is CREATOR and we are the CREATED! That says a lot in itself and then for more, go read in Job, well here's some of it, you can go read the rest for yourself. Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Job 38:1-5 Let us revere and fear such an awesome creator who is so patient and loving to offer us a way to Him through Christ. Test yourself to the gospel HERE. This morning I went on a nice long witness walk to a grocery store and brother Tupos was going to meet up with me. Along the way I gave a gospel card to a man walking down the sidewalk. Further down the road, I was on a corner looking at a HUGE mangy dog on the other corner. I wasn't sure if he belonged to the man that was by the building but as I was standing there thinking about if I should walk by it, a woman behind me, from a salon, called out to me. She came out and I met her in the yard and she explained that the dog had been in that town for years and is mild tempered so I thanked her and gave her a gospel card. This afternoon it started raining so we went to the marketplace to work online. There's a tornado warning out for this area until this evening and I think about how that's just a tiny show of God's power. We're at the mercy of the elements out here especially in the middle of the night, in a parking lot with no other building or shelter from the storms (and we've been through many big ones) but we trust in the Lord that He's watching and knows all things. Let that be a part of our every day life, trusting in Him, not just when there are storms or trials lest we be like the world who only turns to Him when they need something. We need Him all the time don't we?! And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 9:10 And there's that 'seeking' again:-) Much love to you all, hold fast and keep striving on! Sister Aman Comments are closed.
