Greetings and godly love to my sisters who love the Lord! Last weekend we were at a preach and ran into a past co-worker that we both knew. I looked up that man and his wife (older people like us) and they had a picture of them standing by their super expensive sports car. Out of our heart our lives are lived and they showed what's in theirs (they got the gospel though so hope they repent) and then I thought about brother Tupos and I, where our hearts are today and the pictures of us here on our website....totally different than that couple we knew and who we used to be (like them) and what the Lord has done to us...making us new creations. All to His glory because we were the worst of the worst, way more so than those people I'm talking about, and I thought about the scriptures that remind people that they 'once were' also. Titus 3:3-7 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. [4] But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, [5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; [7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Ephesians 2:11-13,19 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; [12] That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: [13] But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. [19] Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: I love those because it levels everyone, leaving no room for pride. I've never had a problem of thinking I was better than anyone once I came to Christ because I knew I never deserved it (because of how awful I was) and know I still don't, but some people have that issue and have to be careful and examine themselves on it. Oftentimes it's people with religious pride, those who were raised with more morals in their lives, not as much sin as the extra worldly people and they think they just have to make a few adjustments to their life in order to follow the commands of scripture. It makes me sad because that's not the fruit of a transformed life, from darkness to light, that's a physical work in the flesh to obey, which won't please God because it's done without the spirit. Test yourself to the biblical gospel HERE and see if you truly are in the faith. Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I actually love reminders of who I used to be because I quickly see the power of God in a transformed life in who I am today. And I want that for the world and therefore the reason why I'm (and brother Tupos) so passionate to preach the gospel and help people along the way. Ever since I was born from above, I've had that drive to share the truth cuz I didn't want my neighbor to perish, that's just a natural thing when you have the Holy Spirit in you! But we can only help those who want the help and are willing to 'hear' the truth and obey it. The Lord knows who they are and we just continue on, the best we can, shining the light He put in us. Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. It's been another super busy day, washing clothes (bedding and a load of heavy items at the laundrymat, cleaning, sewing and organizing. This morning I was blessed with a walk to the dent bent discount store and find a few things. While I was walking I saw the line painters on the road...painting all the lines, making sure they do it just right otherwise there would be a mess and maybe accidents....do we pay that much attention to details in our lives when obeying the Lord? As I was walking, I was testing myself, pondering some things and asking the Lord to reveal anything in me that shouldn't be there... Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: [24] And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. I won't share all the details here about it all but I'll say this....just at the right time, a woman came out of nowhere (not literally but I didn't see where she came from) and I was able to share a gospel card with her and warn her about deception. God does those things:-) 1 Peter 5:6-9 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: [7] Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. [8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: [9] Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. We're working our way to a weekend preach, Lord willing and maybe a park overnight along the way but let's see what really happens. The Lord knows and we just want to do His will. I hope you all strive on in the WAY and TRUTH after Christ who is our LIFE! Love you sisters who love Him. Sister Aman Comments are closed.
