Greetings godly sisters! O come, let us sing unto the Lord : let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. Psalm 95:1-3 I hope your day is going well in the Lord and you're redeeming the time for Him! I was reading in Acts the other day... And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister. And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus: Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. Acts 13:5-7 The deputy wanted to hear the word of God. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Acts 13:8 A worker of Satan tried to stop the truth from going out. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? Acts 13:9-10 And what happens next... And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Acts 13:11 This is awesome, I love what happens next! Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. Acts 13:12 God can use anything to His glory and for His people. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 We see such workers of Satan all the time out here and although we don't always see the hand of the Lord in what happens with the person we're sharing truth with, we can take comfort knowing that God is watching, He is in control and He can use all things for His glory and to help those who are seeking. What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Romans 9:22-23 Don't be discouraged if you see workers of Satan trying to stop the truth, trust in the Lord that His will be done in it all and you keep going about your works unto Him. We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 It's a rainy day here in the city we've been for a while but we're heading down the gospel road to a preach this weekend, Lord willing, and it looks like the weather will clear up, but we shall see. Along the way I continue to do my godly woman works unto the Lord. I may live in a tiny house and not have to spend as much time on things as maybe some of you do, but we all have a lot of the same things to do, which is a nice thought to ponder as we go about them...knowing other sisters are doing the same. I hope your day goes well and you strive on for the glory of God, pressing into the kingdom and being a shining light to those around you. Love to you all, in Christ who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Sister Aman Comments are closed.
