Good day sister saints! I thought I'd share a quick thought on foods and what we see going on today. I needed a new peeler and found a set of 3 for a great price, one of which is a julienne peeler that makes strips, one is serrated so I can peel tomatoes as I can't eat skins and the other is a regular one. Brother Tupos likes the strips and they cook super fast too. I also did a witness walk through a grocery store and saw this.... Any guess on how much that is? $10!!!!! I about fainted thinking that someone would spend that kind of money on just lettuce, tomatoes and onion. It's not like it contains a lot of hard to find ingredients or something...it's basic foods that are super easy to cut and prepare. I took a few pics of their prices. It's normally a pretty expensive store (unless you shop the sales) so if a person shopped at different stores, you could make that tray for a few dollars. It shows me even more how much America has turned into Sodom in being full of bread. People are so lazy they buy so much of their foods already set up to be cooked. I saw 4 baked potatoes (ready to be cooked) topped with cheese for $10 in that same store. And a tray of corn sprinkled with a seasoning (looked to be about 3 cans worth for $7. (I'm not saying all prepared foods are that expensive or bad deals but most of what I see are.) This country (and maybe a lot of others) is obsessed with food. Obviously that's the wrong spirit and they've turned food into a God to be worshipped and if not quite that far, they eat it unto a god. I put a gospel card in it. When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee: And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat. Proverbs 23:1-3 I would say to us sisters, when we sit to eat in a country that is full of bread and food idolatry, consider diligently what your options are and put a knife to our throat if we be given to all that and succumb to our appetite and be swept away with all that like the world is. Nothing wrong with being hungry and looking forward to your food or having a variety but let us not be swept away in the lust of the flesh.
Let us be like the Proverbs 31 woman, going far to make sure her family is taken care of and by the fruits of her hands she makes it all happen. (Not the fruits of having someone else doing it while she sits around.) Sister Aman Comments are closed.
