Good evening sister saints!
I hope you are all doing well today, standing strong in the Lord! Today I thought I'd share a bit about what our ministries are and prioritizing them. We godly women were created to be helpers and servants as we can see in Genesis as well as Proverbs 31 and Titus 2 and other areas in God's Word, which show us those examples. So what does that all mean and how do we prioritize them? Well first of all we know that loving and obeying God is the foremost in all things because without that nothing else matters. So in our lives, as we go about living here on this earth until the Lord brings us home (if we endure in the faith) what would our ministries be as godly women? * Helper to husband * Raising children * Taking care of those who are in their lives * Daily edification of the saints * Keeping house * Sharing the gospel * Looking and watching for ways to further the kingdom of God (love your neighbor) All such things are very important, necessary and must be done daily and it all comes down to time management. Finding a way to consider it all important, not neglecting any of those areas. Brother James suggested I give this verse as an example from Jesus... Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Matthew 23:23 Jesus says to not leave the others undone. I can't tell you how to prioritize your life but you can evaluate it and see where your time is being spent that might be better spent elsewhere and then rearrange your time so that your husband is being taken care of, children and family have their needs met, sisters are getting daily encouragement and you are receiving it from them and all the while being ready to share the gospel with the lost world. On the end of that would be looking for more ways to share the truth of Christ in various other ways (emailing the gospel, mailing it out, volunteer work at a soup kitchen etc.) We all have different lives and different responsibilities but we can all find a way to do what must be done even if it means having to kill your flesh and let go of some things in order to make time elsewhere. I've known sisters in the most extreme situation with having a husband, many children, in the process of moving and they found a way to do it all on a daily basis. Some ares of our life may require more time than others but they all are important and can be done because we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Hopefully that encourages us all to keep such things in mind and not let any slide. We are created for good works, let us do them all unto the Lord. Have a joyous evening sister saints. Love to you, Sister Deb Comments are closed.
