Wisdom for Women Witnessing

Greetings sister saints!
A sister asked if I would share about wisdom on witnessing in the world for single women but this is good for any sister who is:

* Single
* Married to believer
* Married to unbeliever

I’m not going to go into details on ‘how’ to witness or the specific boundaries and potential gray areas, this is just a general guideline with points of wisdom to consider when out in the world sharing the gospel without any biblical male headship along.

Let’s look at the main key points for godly women wanting to be a light and witness of the gospel.

** Must be born from above / born again
See the biblical gospel HERE and test yourself to it to see if you truly are born from above and have had a transformed life in Christ. 

** Have a testimony of new life in Christ.
If you’re truly born from above, you should have a testimony of how the gospel changed your life to live in holiness and obedience in all ways. Brother Tupos has teachings on how to do that HERE.

Be sure you can articulate your testimony in the street if you are asked to give an answer as we see in:
 
1 Peter 3:15 
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

We can use our testimony to show people the power of God to transform lives and how they too, can be washed in the blood of Christ and walk in the newness of life. 


** Have your life in biblical order
We must have our own lives in biblical order before we go out and show others that they must repent of their lives, lest we be a hypocrite. 
  
(Coming out of the world such as churchianity, politics, sports, entertainment, movies, worldly books/magazines, idle time, headcovered, biblically dressed, not a feminist etc.)  Test yourself HERE.


** Gospel card 
You will need to make a biblical gospel card / tract.
We haven’t found any biblical gospel tracts so we made ours and suggest others do so. You can see ours HERE.  We encourage people to have the gospel on one side and a warning of man made religion on the other, listing many of the lies.  The reason we suggest warning people about man made religion (any of the 40,000+ denominations / non denominations and fringe groups) is that they are made of man and filled with lies which will not lead one to eternal life.  In this day and age of massive deception and perverted gospels, we need to show people the lies they believe and practice so they repent and get to the truth.  If you have a body of godly biblical believers that have a website or a godly husband or the contact info of a male authority, be sure to include that as a resource to send people to. 


** Keep yourself under your authority:
    Christ and the Word
    Husband / elders / brothers in the body) 
Be sure to stay within your bounds as a godly woman.

For single women without any male headship authority, your sole authority would be the word of God and you will need to be extra careful to stay within the bounds of a single woman witnessing to men. Scriptures teach us women not to be ‘teaching’ men, but we can share the gospel and the warnings of deception and if you have a biblical gospel card laid out as such, you can use that as a guide, just don’t go into great detail on the doctrines within those points.  

Women with biblical male authority can reference their biblical male authority and possibly go a bit further in answering a few questions, all the while referring to the men in the body.  Again, I’m not going into the details of how far a woman can go in witnessing to a man because all the situations are different so be sure to stay within your headship order.

Women witnessing to other women can go further than they would be with a man but when it comes to doctrines outside the godly commands for women, we have to be careful that we are not expounding greatly on each one lest we be usurping the authority of the men being the ones to teach the body.  

Be careful to not allow people to take you on rabbit trails and don’t moralize people who don’t show the true fruit of a transformed life.


** Be aware of your your situation
In a public place with people around, you can witness to both men and women, thereby having witnesses to what’s going on. If it’s just you and a man without anyone else around, keep it brief, give him the gospel card and let the Lord work in Him with the word.  There are times it could be appropriate for a woman to woman talk if there isn’t anyone else around but be aware, use wisdom and be blameless. 

Those would be the most basic guidelines for a godly women sharing the gospel, now let’s move on to another level of sharing the gospel.  

** Flying gospel signs
I would recommend that most women don’t do this unless they have experience in these points.

* Have had a good season of training out on the streets with other biblical saints.
* Have a good season of experience sharing the gospel one on one.
* Be able to boldly speak of the gospel and general warnings of man made religion.
* Have previous experience dealing with various religions and situations including mockers and those who oppose the faith.
